So if anyone needs door connector parts, I ordered the minimums and will sell connectors and extra pins for $25/set shipped to the CONUS.

I was ready to pull the trigger on the RF hub but now I have a curiosity....would a hub from a "5th gen" 2500 work and be able to use the new style fobs? Possibly add the tailgate release from the fob? Anyone explored this? I hate the fact that the rear doors and fob dont unlock like the fronts haha.

As far as i am aware the 5th gen will not work as the CANBUS system is different on the new gen trucks

I can’t say for sure, but I intend to try it out. I already plan on installing the handle and camera from a 2019 HD ram for a different project. To get the handle installed, there’s going to be some cutting of the sheet metal to get it to fit, since it’s a different shape. Then, the release actuators will have to be fabbed in. I know what wires need to be added to the BCM and what settings to enable for the release button to work. I’m just not 100% sure the RF Hub will work, but I’m gonna try it.

THAT is what I like to hear! keep us updated. There was a guy selling kits for the tailgate a while back, but had to use a separate remote, which put me out.

Well...I rolled the dice, and crapped out. I got an RF Hub from a 2019 ram HD, and a new fob with the tailgate release button. I went to program the new fob and hub, entered my PIN, hit start, and it immediately said invalid request.
I did have a partial win with the 5th gen tailgate handle, though. I wired the release switch to the exact same pins on my BCM as they are on the 5th gen BCM, and it worked right out of the gate- didn’t have to enable any settings for it. I didn’t have the handle wired to an actuator, but it fired up a test light when I hit the switch. Next challenge is figuring out how to get it to release from the factory remote. Once that can be figured out, then I’ll start cutting and fabbing it into the tailgate. Then it’s just a matter of hooking up some type of door popper so the tailgate will release.

I’m not sure, but I’m gonna cut my loss right there, as my dealer would charge me $120 labor just to try it. After testing some things, the only thing that could be gained from that hub is the fifth antenna for the tailgate. That antenna could be tied in with the passenger side exterior antenna on the fourth gen hubs.
As far as the tailgate release, I believe the fob that I have from amazon is capable of it. This button on the fob is where the air suspension remote is for rams, and where the lift gate release is for grand Cherokees- DdGDJy8.jpg
It definitely does “something” when I press it twice, because the dash lights up. If I press it twice, then connect to the RF Hub and read the system status, it shows the last release fob button as the trunk release- s4yFmPR.jpg
If we can look at the BCM settings for a grand Cherokee, and figure out what setting makes the lift gate release on the fob work, I think it can be done on the ram.

I wonder if that has anything to do with the new RF hub having five antennas instead of four?

That wouldn’t be the reason. I’m thinking because the new hubs handle the PIN and the secret key information different than the 4th gens. The PIN for the 4th gens remain the same at all times. The new hubs require a new PIN be generated every 12 hours for fob programming and resetting.

I don’t suppose you would have any door handle connectors that you would possibly sell to me ?
I need two of them plus the terminals .
Making a harness for a friend and the harness is all made up Except for the door handle connector

I just bought a 2018 1500 eco diesel this week and I'm planning on this being my first Mod. I was wondering if anyone has some of the extra connectors and terminals they wouldn't mind selling to me. Im also located in canada so shipping here would be appreciated.

Sorry if this has been answered but has this been done yet on a 2019+
To the best of my knowledge it's only been done on the 13 to 18 and the 19 Classic but not the 5th gen Rams.

So the only thing to do to get the keyless GO feature is the button, receiver, and remote to get the push button start to work? Also, will Alpha OBD unlock this feature? what about programming the remote?

Unless you have a Laramie that may already have the wiring you will need to build a harness. No one makes a harness at this time so you will need to build your own. You will need to install the harness, the two interior antennas, the reciever and the push button. If you also want the proximity entry you will need to install the driver and passenger door antennas and proximity door handles as well. You can use the Alfa tool to enable all the codes for the push button start/proximity entry and program the fobs. You will need to get the four digit pin code for your truck from the dealer or online to be able to program the new fobs to your truck.

Has anyone with a 14/15 with the seperate remote start antenna gone to the newer style rf hub with integrated antenna and noticed any range difference? My '14 2500 with remote start has somewhat acceptable range, and I'm curious if going to the newer style hub has changed that for better or worse.

Some places are reporting the older style hub as out of stock, so I may order the newer one just for convenience sake.

I put the 2018 hub with integrated antenna in my 2015, haven't noticed any difference or issues.

Has anyone pinned the passive entry handles in the door connector instead of fishing the wire through? I can't find any info on where they would actually go.
