anyone have issues with the rear window frame having cracked. 2019 Ram Laramie 4X4. noticed 2 small irregular shaped cracks on the top framing of the rear window yesterday. I saw a blog on YouTube where the guy talks about this and getting it fixed under warranty. going to the dealer tomorrow (02/21) but was hoping someone would've had this fixed or info on getting it fixed.

Yes !!! My 2019 Bighorn CrewCab DT is in the shop as I type this for a replacement rear window ! Supposed to be in on 2/27. Also, check out the rear floor and seats for water leaking into the truck from the window frame cracking !!!
They know about this and are replacing it with the 2020 window !

The dealership told me that they damaged the rear window frame during the installation of the window by the press used in install ! I noticed the floor wet and did some research and seen the Hammerdown Motorsports video on YouTube too !

FCA knows about this. You need to take it in to dealership service and they will handle the claim, that’s it ! Good luck to us all !!!

...very common problem. Mine is getting the rear window assembly replaced today.. less than a week old when it leaked / cracked. From what I've read I'm not hopefully that the replacement will fare any better..

So pick it up tonight.. nice new window.. betting it still leaks.

So I check the backseats for cuts etc and find extra pieces under the damn seat.. service was closed so now I have to go back in tomorrow..

After I got home I looked closer and two out of three seatbelts aren't hooked up and there are three or four nuts / bolts on the seat track either missing or finger tight!!!

...my 6m old rides on that damn seat

No regard for safety from that dealer. Pretty bad service to not bolt up seat belts. Very dangerous too. Glad your fam is safe.

So I went in Saturday am and ofcourse the manager they told me to talk to wasn't in.. no mangers were in.. They pulled the truck right in and the guy had the seats out, seat belt fixed, seats back in, and bolts are all there / tight in like 15 minutes.

There were also 2 scratches by the rear window and backdoor. They took pics and said manager will call me Monday.. so we'll see..

UPDATE: took the truck into the dealer and the service advisor right away knew what needed to be done. He's submitted the paperwork to FCA to get the authorization to fix and will then order the parts. should know by tomorrow when the window unit will be replaced. according to the SA he has seen this before and some as bad as him watching water leak into the cab in the rain. Papa Red from what Im told its a 2019 thing and they actually end up replacing the window unit with a 2020 window unit.

Is there a before build date to look for? Mine was built 04/19. Took delivery 11/19, odometer is now at 5,000. Been seeing issues with the back window discussed here. Checked mine closely yesterday and all seems to be ok.

don't know about a build date. From what Ive researched its only applicable to the 2019 series. Make sure to check the inside molding. my cracks were on either side of the power sliding window. at the top of the window frame inside the truck.
