It's been a while for sure. I had a few Dodge/Rams over the years but last one was back in 2009. Since then, been building several Fords and Toyotas, and even a recent Titan (all great trucks); I build my vehicles to serve as daily drivers and weekend off-roaders as I actually take my trucks off-road for high desert trail/dune runs and over 12,000 ft. mountain passes in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado (no mall poser here). I am not a fan boy of any manufacturer or model so I have had them all from all sorts of Jeeps to Dodge/Rams, Chevys, Fords, Toyotas, Nissans, Range Rovers and others as I purchase what I think will suite my needs at the time. Also had numerous sports cars such as Corvettes, Camaros, M3s, F-Types, and others. All of them, including my Dodge/Rams, have had their share of pros and cons but I just love vehicles in general and had fun with all of them!

Initially, I was going to purchase a new Ford Raptor (great truck too) but eventually decided it was not worth the $70K+ asking price with its dated hard plastic interior (the twin-turbo V6 was pretty good and I had owned a couple of EcoBoost trucks that were fun to drive but the engine noise is a bit of a letdown considering the performance you get). I liked the new Chevy/GMC AT4 offerings with the 6.2L V8, but again got turned off by the interiors. I also considered going back to a Toyota Tundra (which my 2015 1794 Edition was my most successful build to date) but the 2020 models are still so 2007 inside and out; it is amazing that the Toyota dealerships think their outdated models are still the bomb. So I moved on to the 2020 Ram Power Wagon that I thought would be the end all but was disappointed with the street ride quality (although I know it would have been the ultimate truck for off-roading). So opted for the Ram Rebel instead and I have to say that I am finally very happy with my decision; went fully loaded with the Hemi V8, Level 2 Package, Rebel 12 Package, Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof Package, Tow Package, Spray-on Bedliner, and more:

Modifications will be minimal for now although I already ordered a new suspension to better suite my off-road needs as well as an ARE topper.

Glad to be back in the Ram fold and will be posting my build thread as I go.
