Got the Wagner severe duty brake pads installed today. They feel outstanding so far, to heck with the ceramic pads bs. You either have clean wheels or pads that stop . I got the Powerstop rotors for the wife Durango with Ceramic Z36 and it's ok, but my Oreally Rotors with this Wagner semi-metallic pads on the RAM will mop the floor with Ceramics and i have 37's in the truck :)
Time will tell but so far they're not making noises so will see.

I had the Premium Oreally's OE pads before and they only lasted 30k miles, at least on the back, Gotta love BLD. Same experience with my Jeep and rear pads, it seems my RAM is no different. I used to go through rear pads faster than the fronts in my JKU.

This are the pads

Old rears with about 30k miles

Fronts with about the same mileage, they still had more meat but they were noisy as hell.

Also i wanted to increase HP the cheap way. So i've done 30HP via decals so far. Lol

I had added this one last week for 10hp

And i liked it so much i went with a couple more today, 10HP more in the back

This one might be 15hp cause it's on top the Hemi badge hehehe.

Got the Clayton arms delivered just now. The lowers are a lot beefier than the uppers which is good in terms of supporting abuse on rocks and what not. Not that i'm expecting to do King of the hammers with this truck but the extra beef is more than welcome :)

This are originally made for the 2020 Jeep Gladiator (JT) which our 4th gen RAM 1500 shares rear control arms and rear trackbar with.

Lowers are 2x2 1/4" squared wall tubing.
Uppers are 1.5x1.5 1/8" squared wall tubing,
Bushings are Clayton Giiro DDB on both sides, 26.6* of movement per bushing, 50* combined per arm, self centered, self lubricated and maintenance free, 5/16's thick welded lower control arm housing with forged adjusters.

I did set them at factory length:
Uppers: 16 3/8"
Lowers: 23 3/4"

In terms of weight
The uppers are 6.6lbs

The lowers are 14.8lbs

I'll have some side by side pics comparing them to the Mevotech and the Freedom offroad ones later once i get them installed.

Comparing the upper with the Mevotech. Sorry was too lazy to take it of the package.

Lower Clayton vs Freedom Offroad
The FO's are beefier than Mevo, Claytons are beefier than the FO's
The Lowers are 2x2 1/4" wall squared tubing

Upper Clayton vs Freedom Offroad, they're similarly sized in terms of frame beefiness
, FO's are tubular, Clayon are squared
Clayton uppers are 1.5x1.5 1/8" squared wall tubing

Definitely getting a lifetime link with the Clayton’s, they’re stout. The Johnny joint must be a tight fit inside the u-bracket so the link frame can’t pivot.

And they're in, I'm in love with the massive lowers.
I think i'll take the opportunity to drill a little hole and tap it to mount the parking brake bracket. The arms are squared so that really makes the job a breeze. I was going to do it today but then it started raining so i'll leave for a 15 min fix tomorrow :)

I went with their Overland kit so these are actually their Giiro DDB Joints. They have another kit above this one where they give you one side with the JJ and Giiro DDB on the other but that one is $700 and change. They're were not joking when they said you can clamp down on them just like stockers. The fit was tight and sweet and they can take all the torque you can give them. I cranked hard on the suckers like i did with the Mevo and the Freedom ones so i like that.

Drilled a 7/32 hole and did a 1/4-20 tap, the factory bolt is bigger i think M8x1.25 or so but i don't have a tap that size so i went qa smaller 1/4 bolt.

Love your truck, it looks like my trucks big brother, lol. With the standard kings for the 1500, are the rear shocks long enough for taller springs? Say springs from Icon or Carli. Looking at the Carli Offroad website, their king shocks are apparently longer and won't work with the stock springs, or apparently run the risk of the stock springs falling out. I noticed you hose clamped your springs on, do the standard Kings also run that risk? Curious if all Kings, whether from Thuren or whoever are longer in back.

Ty.
So yes the King OE system is longer than stock. The Coilovers are extended travel (1" longer than the stock), rear shocks are longer than stock. stock rears are 25.5" extended , King OE are 27". The stock strut assemblies are 21.5", same as 5100's, 6112's, etc. Kings are 22.5".
Thuren is more likely using the same King OE assemblies but revalved to their specs. i know their CO's come specd i think with 600 or 650lbs/inch springs instead of the 500's i have in mine. i know i saw the picture with their spring specs somewhere i just can't recall where. King stamps spring length, thickness and spring rate in their springs so you know what you have. Back to the King rear shocks, you can get longer rear ones if you wanted but that'll be custom length without a warranty.

I'm running the Icon 1.5" springs and you won't need the hose clamp with the King 27" extended ones, i have the clamps because old habits are hard to kill :) I don't know the free length on the Carli springs but if you end up getting them let me know what they're are so i can add to our list.

Max extended shock you can run with the Icon springs AND a 1" spacer posted by Revitupmotto is 28.5"
https://www.ramforum.com/posts/2233699/
So that should be 27.5" without the spacer.

Have fun.

That would be good to know what springs come in the Thuren king kit. I’m running a heavier off-road bumper and plan on adding a winch as well and could use some extra support. I know my eibach springs on my bilstein 5100 are sagging almost 1/2” from just installing the bumper.

Wait until you add the winch...
depending if you're going with synth rope or steel that's extra 60-100lbs so you'll sag down some more.
I've been thinking i want a winch. but that means i'll have to get a new bumper too. I'm at a point now where every single thing i want to do extra is at least $1000 and up. Damn it :)

I’m looking at synthetic rope on a warn Zeon 12000. I’ll have to modify my bumper for the winch but I don’t have a problem welding up a winch tray myself. Yes I’m up to expensive parts as well... just wish I had more places in south Florida to run my truck.

Found this while casually looking for something completely different. Didn't know Timbren made this part, Timbren DF15004B

Found this picture too from Amazon.ca

What if we could take the mount and slap the wheeleroffoad bumpstops ?

I'd be concerned with them taking a really big hit, but there's only 1 way to find out! I say you get them and be the delta for it!

I know i've been thinking about that cause the brackets don't seem robust enough. i need to learn how to weld :)
