Has anyone looked at the new financing offers? I thought that I was happy with my pickup but 84 months @0%.... I might change my mind.

Zero percent interest for 84 months sounds great, but keep in mind you'll lose any FCA incentives. That could be more than $10k with the current offers. I'd advise anyone thinking of taking advantage of the zero percent interest to weigh the differences and go with whichever one saves the most.

I just bought a new 2020 Ram 1500 Limited on Friday. I was going to do the 0% for 84 months, but when I got back to finance the guy printed out that option as well as one that had % and turns out it was $10/month cheaper for me to not go with 0% and almost $10,000 less financed by going with the %...even by the time I paid the interest it was still going to be less than using the 0%. The guy explained that when you use the 0% then all of the discounts go away, whereas the way I financed I was able to get all of the discounts and finance less in the end. Hopefully that makes sense

For 2020 you can only get a Limited with the crew cab configuration. There is a choice of 5'7" or 6'4" box though.

BOO... I knew it was too good to be true.. Rebates with low interest almost always beats 0% at full retail.. This deal is no better than what you can get any other time of year..

I am looking at a 2020 Ram rebel Quad 4X4 Cab monotone red paint with red/black interior. the only packaged added is the engine which is the 5.7 ecoboost. asking price is $48,330. After all the negations we settled at $540 for 84 months no interest. That equates to $45,360. Is this a good deal?
Thank you so much for the help.

I would be patient and wait for awhile. Car sales aren't going to recover anytime soon so the deals should get sweeter over the next couple months. Even if this virus thing dries up next week(I know it won't, just making a point) people are going to be a lot more cautious with their spending habits for the forseeable future.

I agree, I think the offers will get better (same financing with better rebates). But, you might have less to choose from because of the plants being closed. But I would wait if you are considering buying a new truck.

I sold my 2017 to get the 2020. I took the 0% for 84. Free money.

EDIT: Even with the loss of the rebates, the deal the dealer gave me made it well worth it.
See this is what I would assume as well! I dont think anyone will be paying anything even close to MSRP to get the 0% financing. It just isn't going to happen.

Hard to say. What do the other 3 squares on the "auto deal 4 square" look like?

Just bought my truck last May and only has 14,000 miles. I might consider a new one if I could get a similar payment for at least the same options, which I doubt, so I likely would just keep mine. My wife has a 2017 Subaru with 38,000 miles that we bought new. I would consider trading that for something if she wanted to. We only owe $12,000 and KBB on it is about 18,000 so we should have decent trade equity.

If they are using the 4 square BS, just walk away :)

My first ever car buying experience (of my own)...I was 17 looking at a used Mits Eclipse GSX. Dealer started with the CLASSIC..."how much do you want your monthly payment to be?"

After they were said and done, they graciously hit my monthly payment number....for 5 years. On a 15K car with 45K miles on it that pulled so hard to the left, the steering wheel was at 10PM instead of noon.

Thats when I knew just how ****** pretty much any salesman will be.

While I have not seen the "4 square" sheet in use in years, the same 4 essential elements are somewhere in every deal. Now the paper work is like 20 pages long. :-(

Pretty sure I saw my RAM salesman pull one out. He never filled it in because I had a friend/family code and was 100% convinced we were too far away on price (the typical "this is how much it is! come see us!" only to drop the "well this is how much it is IF YOU QUALIFY FOR 10000 discounts").

I managed to get it to the price with the 10000 discounts. Hated the process every step of the way, to the point that the salesman was like "you just bought a new truck, why dont you look happy?" when I went to pick it up.

Do they still have the friends/family discounts? Back in 2007 I was looking at a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500. I was a longtime GM guy. But my son raced go karts and 2 guys we pitted next to both worked for Chrysler near Cleveland at the plant and one of them offered me his Employee Choice discount. This was August of 2007 and they already had a $6000 rebate for everyone then I got another $5500 or so off for his discount. The sticker was just over $35,000 and out the door I was at about $24,500, about the same price as the 2003 GMC I was looking at so it was a no brainer. But I was told they did away with those deals?

IIRC the Employee discount was ?% under invoice, Employee Choice was 5% under, Friends/Family was 3% under and supplier was 1% under.
