Which light in the cluster?
Esc. Been on every since I swapped to a g56 file. I’ve been able to cure everything but this. According to alpha there’s no call/signal for it to be on.

As you know it is from a 2017 that only happened with the ram of 2013 and 2014 I had never seen a cluster 2017 not read the tpms in a 2018

I got the issue fix. Had to make sure the three tpms features was on.

Can someone please provide me with a 2013 Ram 1500 5.7L 2WD BCM Configuration. There is a 2018 4X2 config in with the Shared Configs but the layout of it isn't right and you can't compare with it.

I would prefer 2013 but any 2WD would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Hopefully I didn't screw this up too badly.

Got a little rambunctious last night when my AEV cable arrived. Programmed new tire sizes, which seemed to go fine. Then moved on to programming the BCU with new TPMS thresholds. Got to the next step in the process and realized I failed to get the 4 digit pin from my dealer. Went to drive the truck this morning and I've got all sorts of dash lights going:

Check engine
Service ABS
Parksense front and rear off
Service trailer brake
Service electronic throttle

I made it to the dealer, got the code and did the RFH reset procedure and it took fine. The problem is the lights are all still on. I've attempted to use AlfaOBD to reset any codes, but they keep returning.

I've also started the whole process over. Program BCU, wait, Reset RFH, wait. Lights persist.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Ive had this happen once or twice. Its like the codes get "stuck" somewhere.

IIRC what fixed mine was going into each individual module (BCM, ABS, etc) and resetting the codes inside each module. And my thinking is that is how its supposed to work....there is no "erase all" that goes into each module and erases them all at once.

There is another app that will do that, but in reality all it does is connect to one module at a time and erase all codes in that module.

Did you perform the ABS initialization after you were done programming the tire size?

Thanks Chris. I was still sitting in the dealership parking lot and attempted just what you had described (although I didn't go into every module, I just went into the ABS module). Once I reset that, it seemed to clear all of the other lights. I drove the 35 miles to work without issue and the lights have stayed out. Appreciate you response.

I did not. Probably another case of me not looking into it enough. Two or three of the videos I watched on youtube about it don't seem to indicate anything about performing an ABS initialization. I'll go back to the OP and check that out. Thanks.

Adding Fobiks.
How long does it take to program a key? (Mine is still saying please wait after 10 mins).
I'm trying to add two new ones. Do I have to disassociate the old one? (Is there a limit, etc)

Which type of fob, baseline or highline? For highline, it should take less than a minute after it says “press and release unlock button”. Also, make sure the ignition is off. Are the fobs aftermarket, or used? If so, link to which ones? The limit is 8 fobs for the RF Hub.

I’m trying to add fog lights to my 2017 2500 Tradesman. I have a new bumper w/fogs I haven’t installed yet. I’m looking for a fog light harness and found this jumper 68046303ac. The connector from that jumper doesn’t fit the connector that is on my truck(picture below). The factory connector is located on the driver side bumper below fog light mount. Anyone know what connector/harness/part # I need? Also, does the fog light harness even connect there?

The plug you found is for the front parking sensors. You are going to need a second harness to go between the one you bought and a connecter under the power center (fuse box). There is a member who sells them or you can make one yourself if wish.

It was a bad fob. The other one worked great.

Anybody know if ALFA OBD can turn off MDS on 5.7 HEMI? I have not tried it yet.

After I programmed my tire size I now get the U0147 with the key in the run position and it drains the battery to 10v and the truck won’t start... please help!

As far as I know the only way to turn off MDS is a custom tune flashed to the ECU. It's coded into the ECU firmware therefore there is no way to disable it without an ECU rewrite.

First let me say thank you to everyone for their input and research into alfaobd. It is has been very helpful and for the most part easy to navigate.

I do have a couple questions and after reading about 300 pages of this thread I figured it was time to make a post.

My questions are:

Is there a way via alfaobd to disable the EVIC gages backlight when the headlights are off. If I want to sit idling with ACC on I would not like to be blinded at night.

Second question:

After doing a 7" cluster swap I am unable to write my idle and drive hours. The odometer worked just fine. I have tried multiple times and even uninstalling the app and un pairing the OBDLink MX and repairing.
I read further down that the 2013 clusters had problems with tpms but I have a 2013 ram and have had no issues other than the hours not writing. I feel like Nova Scotia ram with how many times I've tried. (we'll see if the 8" RA4 swap I'm doing next will give me any issues)

Thanks in advance everyone for any input.

the cluster of 2013 and 2014 have that problem you cannot correct the engine hours I have already tried in several trucks and they do not work it is as if those clusters will not let you mess with their driving hours and Idle

Damn, do you think this could affect anything? I have about 17k left on my extended warranty?
