I definitely hear it. 200 miles is still pretty early on the change, I would give it at least another 500 miles and take another video.

Mine sounded like this after 500 miles on Amsoil and took aver 1500 miles on RL 5w30 to be quiet again. I was freaking out after 500 miles back on RL because it still sounded pretty much like this...

Definitely keep us updated [emoji106]

Thanks. I've been on redline 5w30 for around 16k miles. 3rd oil change. This noise is new

Sound the same after it has ran for about 5 mins ?
How about after temps are normal vrs cold start?

This was a new sound within the last few days. It is intermittent. After that start up I drove home and had to stop and idle at 2 areas. First at road construction for nearly 5 mins. Didn't hear any odd noises from drivers seat. From there I drove about 2 miles through town 30 to 35 mph to dd drive thru. No noises there either.

I just drained redline trans fluid and pumped in Mopar. Had some metals in the drained fluid. Enough that the mechanic said he was a little concerned. Going to drain and fill again in 1000 miles or so. I'm not prepared to have to replace trans and do motor work. This truck isn't worth 10k in repairs. So this new noise is in my head

Happy memorial weekend everyone!

Please listen to this video. It's about 25 seconds after start up with temps around 80 yesterday. I don't like how it sounds. Has a ticking noise that's a little different than the lighter hemi tick we hear all the time. I changed my oil around 200 miles ago. Redline 5w30. This ticking isn't always there.

Sometimes after an oil change this will happen, you have to give it time again, likley fresh detergents just cleaned some plate away. Give it 500 miles or so and report back? Thanks J

So I didn't even know you needed a license for that, so next to machinelube the next most credible website is dummies.com :) So I just looked up all this Ham stuff from there.

Dummies.com on Ham radio.

Kyle what is difference between CB and Ham, and/or police channels?

So you say it's intermittent........but is there a common factor anywhere......is it intermittent when it 1st starts........when engine is still warm & started & hour later........or just no common factor & is hit or miss no matter what

Temporary solution

Double sided roofing adhesive. This stuff is like extremely tacky tar.

Made nine machines that laminated the stuff onto the plastic that you peel off both sides.

They gave us a few “scrap rolls”

This is new. I changed this oil about 200 miles ago. I have heard it only a couple times. It's was a ticking I didn't like So i recorded it and put it on here. I knew I could get some great feedback as we have a great bunch of guys on here that truly care about helping. I'll see where it goes. Note any pattern I see. After seeing metal in my trans fluid I'm just now paranoid about my motor.

Right after I changed my oilI recall saying to myself "this motor sounds better". Then this sound. So...time will tell. I just need enough time to trade before she goes.
