I'm not sure what you're trying to do here? Could you elaborate?

Sure, I don't have radio controls on my steering wheel. I like the look of this controller. I know where to wire the hot and ground wires for it, but don't have a clue what "The white line connect to Key" is asking me to do.

It wants a switched accessory power source I believe. You can tap one at the cigarette lighter plug.

I would make a suggestion though. Factory steering wheel controls can be added relatively easily by replacing the steering wheel entirely or adding the factory controls to the back of your current wheel...

Any pink wire with yellow stripe they are all switch on 12v.

So the hot lead is always on, the key lead is switched power, how is it talking to the stereo, is that all thru Bluetooth?

I thought about replacing the steering wheel, and still may, but want to read up a bit about how to do that without screwing it up or having the airbag blow up in my face. This seemed a good intermediate step.

Thanks about the pink/yellow. Is there a similar wire that's always on? Or do I have to pull something thru the firewall?

It sounds like it. However, I'm not sure these radios are cabaple of receiving commands over Bluetooth. It's been awhile, but I think I remember talk of the Bluetooth being very limited in what it can do in these radios.

There are some good videos on YouTube to show you how to add steering wheel controls and remove the airbag. I'm told this makes the job easier.

No such luck for hot always on. I second what sitkneelbend said steering wheel controls are easy to add and not expensive took me about 40min to complete just mark you clock spring and you won't have any problems

Linkswell Gen 4 installed, 2018 Ram 2018, side camera and front camera installed also.

Highlights;
Everything works on it, sounds pretty good. I downloaded poweramp (walt @ adc suggested it)
my 256gb from amazon plays all videos using the factory usb in the center bench seat console -dont need that aftermarket one
android auto works just fine(cables are hidden in the pull out cubby underneath the radio)
I change my door speakers to all Alpine 6x9 and added a Alpine 4 channel -it jams
the subs are ok RF p2, I have some JL also I might swap em

I added leds in the console along with USB's for the back seat little ones. they need to charge devices. I soldered the wires together.

front camera image is backwards (Pcam-110) says it works on front of vehicle so need to sort that out.

I installed those same USB ports up front so I wouldn't have to open the console lid for a charging port. Amazon LOL!!!

so I stripped the wire and only connected the red n black up (soldering them) to power and ground. When I connect my phone it does complain but looks to be charging. I have one more I am going to install in the glove box I think

Im guessing you have an iPhone and you get the accessory not supported message? I plugged my phone in and did the pin hole reset and it connects as it should now no message.

Hi All,

I bought this radio from a user (not of this forum). I have Ram 2013 5.7 hemi the low budget edition express. I originally had the lowest radio + manual A/C.
When i connected the tesla style radio i had huge issue with the A/C, but i manage to set this thing correctly using the setup in hidden menus. I put in attachment the version of radio and software that i have.
I have issue with the speakers. The front ones doesnt play at all. is there any setup that will work ? Please help.

You were able to add a sub to this screen ? Was there any rca adapter you needed to do so ? I have the Tesla style radio I just ordered haven’t installed yet . If there’s no way to install a sub I might just return it

I would check to see if the previous owner had the fade set all the way to the rear on the EQ settings. If that's not the problem I would check my connections.

Sub install is straight forward with these radios there's a rca dedicated sub connection. I added a rca y adapter to the connector so both right and left from the amp would feed through this connection.

The linkswell gen 4 has a lot of RCA inputs as well as HDMI in/outs. I added 4 door speakers and a amplifier for them.
