6.4 truck intake manifold and 6.4 stock air box is installed. Currently running 5.7 injectors with spacers. Now need to get a tune so I can swap in the 6.4 injectors and delete mds. May just have to buy a pcm from diablo... wanted to just unlock mine but may have to go the easy route. Can’t let my truck be down anytime soon. For anyone interested the 5.7 fuel rail does fit but needs a new hose for the crossover. Was a 5/16 high pressure fuel and transmission line. Also, drilled and tapped the 6.4 manifold to run my catch can. There is no way stock on the 6.4 manifold to run a catch can. If you look in the pictures you can see I drilled the egr blockoff plate and install a 1/2” barbed 90° fitting with a 1/4npt thread into the blockoff plate. The pvc side I drilled into the stock pcv housing and tapped it for another 1/2” barbed straight fitting with a 1/4” npt thread and just plug the stock vacuum port into the manifold so it only sucks through the catch can. Either jb weld or another form of putty should be good as long as it’ll harden and adhere to plastic. Posted in my build thread as well. This is with plans to install a aev snorkel in the future.

Awesome. Dumb future references question for me. Do you see anyway to make a vararam work with it? Obviously I know the TB position is different but wonder if a 90 elbow would work?

Most likely no. I just pulled my s&b intake off because it won’t fit either. Any 6.4 truck intake will fit.

So sad I love the nostalgic look of the vararam.

Ok. Took the truck out today after I got home from work and wow. That’s all I have to say. For a stock upgrade and not tuned yet... truck even sounds throatier. The only things done so far are Borla S type catback and this 6.4 manifold. Truck definitely pulls harder on the bottom end. Running these 35s and I can chirp them easy rolling at 30mph. I need to order my new rear control arms sooner than later before I destroy the stock arms. Going with Clayton overland arms with giiro joints on both ends. See how well those hold up to the abuse.

Are your tires worn out or something? Be pretty hard to brake loose at 30mph on a dry road. Even my truck won’t do that a 30mph on a dry road, slightly damp is a different story though.

Nope. I could smoke the stock 275/60r20 tires from a stand still if I went full throttle. Went to procomp AT sports in the stock 275/60r20 but LT D rated and when I did that I could still chirp them from a slow roll. Swapped up to 305/70r18 Mickey Thompson atz p3 about 3000 miles ago and they are amazing. 103 lbs per tire and wheel combo. Good traction wet or dry. Great off-road as well. I am running the clutch fan delete, ags delete, 190° tstat, elite hemi performance ported Tb, and I’m lifted 3/1 with eibach springs and bilstein 5100 combo. This truck went 15.2 1/4 mile completely stock with the procomp tires. 3.92 gears with limited slip from the factory. This intake manifold really seems to help in the low end a lot. I could chirp these tires from a stand still before but just barely. I will say it may have just been perfect conditions because i only did that once. Plus my tires weren’t fully warmed up yet.

Fair enough, might have just been a bit of dirt or crap on the tire as well. Can be scary when you don’t expect it lol. My trucks got a little sideways on a wet highway before trying to pass someone. Even with 500whp that’s tricky to do, just caught the water right and kicked sideways.

Yea... I had stock Goodyear’s going up an on ramp in pouring rain. Not even accelerating hard since it was raining. Ended up going sideways up the ramp. Thankfully I maintained control up the ramp. That was the last straw for those stock Goodyear’s. Scared me half to death.

This is why the stock tires SUCK all I had in this video was vararam and muffler delete. Granted it was cold so making the most possible power but still lol.

Yeah those stock tires flat sucked, my truck would light them up pretty good at 20mph and put them to smoke for a stand still with only a muffler swap..lol

Was that 6.4 a pretty easy swap over ?
Piece of cake if you know what to expect. Took me 2 hours. Hardest part is getting the 6.4 in because it’s taller. It would have been easier with a second set of hands to guide it back. 5.7 came out like a breeze. Put the fuel rail and injectors in before reinstalling. Used a no splice extension harness for the SRV module that I purchased from a guy on Facebook named Takayama Sam on the high performance rams page.

Gonna have a little cash soon debating buying this including fbo and tune or blower. But I tow and have new wheels and tires that are 50lbs over stock. Pretty sure the heat while towing would kill the hemi with a blower idk [emoji24]. Why is planning the a build so damn hard lol

That’s why I went this route. Full bolt ons and cam are seeing up to 70hp and torque gains throughout the curve Originally wanted a blower but running these tires... figured I want more reliable power with less parts. The fact that it’s a straight drop in and if you are running fbo I would install the 6.4 injectors with it and have your truck custom tuned for the new injectors. I’m aiming for 400-450rwhp when I finish my build. Going FBO and cam. Possibly run a light weight ATI crank dampener as well.

drivability is the same but with my small amount of mods I still feel better low end. I need to get long tubes so I can really unlock the full potential of this intake. There is plenty to be had from this intake.

The SRAs are downright dangerous. 15k on mine and they broke loose on the highway going 60mph in LIGHT RAIN. Roads weren't even that wet. That was enough for me and they were gone a week later.

Good to see it worked out for you.

There’s a guy that went big cam, ported heads, 6.4 intake and gained extremely minimal at the track. Has 3.21 gears though which is part of the equation.
