8.4" UAS w/CarPlay Radio Upgrade Wanted

Hello everyone, I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic with the 5" screen and im looking to upgrade to the 8.4" UAS radio with apple carplay if anyone could help. thank you.

If a member is not able to provide something, I bought my UAS through car-parts.com. You indicate you are looking for RA4, not sure what that is beyond 2018 but in that year it did not have Android Auto and Apple Car Play capabilities. If you want those they are UAS and UAQ, maybe different designation in 2020. Good luck.

Might want to update your title. The RA4 is the older non-carplay radio. You want a UAQ (4c-Nav) or UAS (4c) radio depending on if you want built-in navigation and HD radio. Big thread on how to do this here.

Yeah, I'm looking for the the 8.4" UAS w/CarPlay.
As per my research into this, the upgrade from the 5" screen will require a complete kit (radio, bezel, etc.).
I have already checked the Infotainment and 4th Gen Ram Electronics websites, but their prices are high from my budget.
So I thought buying a used one from the members in the form might be cheaper, as I saw in some thread on the "For Sale" form, the prices are much lower.

Reach out to M2 mods one of our site vendors to see if he can make you the harnesses needed for the swap.

His harness makes this a plug and play swap. Sourcing the parts yourself and selling your stock stuff will save you a ton of money over one of the complete kits.

He may not need it, I believe the 2019 Classic (4.5 Gen) is the same Wiring as a 2018, But please confirm that with those that are more knowledgeable than I

Yes, I believe you are correct.

As per the link chri5k shared below, my 2019 is equipped with the new media hub (just like the one in the capture below), so I probably don't need for this conversion?

So the only items I will need for the conversion will be the 8.4" UAS radio and the bezel kit? (see the attachment below for the current interior look of my truck).

That is what I meant, I did the same conversion in my truck that came with a 7 speed fan.

All I needed was one harness and a new HVAC module along with the 911 cable from M2 mods. You should just need those things as well.

(I did an RA4 so I didn't need the new media hub. Might get a UAQ one day though.)

You will likely need the Radio Controls (Volume/Mute Tune) and the HVAC Controls as well that fit the radio bezel they aren't always populated

For the radio, it is a direct swap no harness is needed. Do you have the ports in your center console, if not you need to add to use some features. When I did my upgrade from basic radio the only cable I needed and bought from M2Mods was to display rear camera in both rearview mirror and radio display. For the bezel, you can buy from Benny, someone may have it on here (post in wanted) or buy from Infotainment. If you don't have volume and channel control rocker switch on back of steering wheel you need that, it is a lot with back cover/switches and cable.
