Got her on jacks today and took the driver side lower ball joint out just to find out that whoever replaced them last used the knurled type....I did not order knurled. Looks like she's stuck on jacks til I get some replacements in the mail.
Has anyone replaced balljoints on a 2500 4x4 or power wagon before? I had alot of trouble finding the right adapter to press it out and honestly just wacked it out. Not gonna work for the upper.
On the bright side I guess I have an opportunity to clean up some corrosion on these components.

Put in a new serpentine belt.

Also noticed that my bleeder screw was leaking coolant. I wrapped the threads in teflon tape. Good to go.

Got all the balljoints out, then cried a bit when I saw what the previous owner did to the upper balljoint bores...63fc5f1d68f14c5734b2bee81e674339.jpg666ee57dcc22ee37d16e3becb885ec27.jpg

Drove up to LKQ in Tulsa and found a bunch of random parts I've been looking for. Saw a Hemi block on the ground from another 06 while I was there. I guess someone needed pistons, heads and the oil pan but nothing else. If I was on steroids and could carry a 400+ pound engine block I might've taken it

Just cleaned battery terminals, cleaned throttle body. Now head lights are flicking a bit. Sometimes they turn off, then bright, then low. I really wanna think I just need to tighten the terminals down more but they are on there. No light issues at all before with the lights. I did had to twist the neg term a lil to get it off, but it was cleaned good and I added some of those o ring things to help prevent corrosion. I looked and no much good info on google. Everyone says bad battery, bad alt, but the lights worked totally fine before, never a flicker. Anyone run into this issue?

Is it just the headlights or are all the lights flickering? If everything is flickering I’d say the switch could be going out

Painted that new dash I got from the salvage yard. Decided to go for the SRT-10 colors. It turned out pretty well, now I just have to clean up on it and put it in

Was going to polish the rear tails, but my kit was missing the polish piece, thanks amazon. Had to return. I believe tightening the terminals fixed the lights issue. Need to drive it around at night to really test it out.

Got the new radio bezel in today. Looks great! While I was at it I installed a new headlight switch with the foggy push button. I dont even have fogs or have them enabled with Alfa but they light came on in my cluster anyways. Neat

Then I debadged, drove to town and gave it a good wash and interior detail

Towed my mother-in-law's trailer to Bear Lake, this is the second time I've towed her trailer, I'm going to need either a regear or drop down to 33". Her trailer is not even that heavy( 4500-4800LBS) , and my truck struggles to pull it. 2nd gear and 3rd gear are my best friend. That's what I did today.

Installed some new bed caps today. Had to literally tear a side of the old ones off in pieces because the previous owner thought it'd be a good idea to epoxy it on. Anyways, looks much better.

Chassis unlimited front and rear bumpers should be here within a week.4c3d31720a25ab81e436b3afb5cdcdc8.jpg7f090fb97c0a9ca6cbb3d3e35cbd188f.jpg
