Ac shutting off

Anyone else have issues with their ac turning off. It's a brand new 2020 1500 Big Horn with 100 miles on it. It runs fine for a minute and then shuts down, turns on the front defrost, and does not respond to any buttons pushed or knobs turned. After about 2 minutes it resets and kicks back on at 76 degrees then shuts down again after another 30 sec. to a minute

Sounds like you're gonna need to find out how good the service dept is. Get the GSM involved, too.

As mentioned by Jus Cruisin, head to the dealership for them to figure out what is going on. If possible, might want to make a video of it to show what is happening (safely of course).

My 2019 Ram Limited does the same thing. Goes to 76. And defrost. I actually have to shut the truck off and restart it to get control of AC system again. Service dept could never duplicate.

I took a video and got it to do it with mechanic in car. They replaced the HVAC module. Worked fine the whole way down the shore, but had the fan shut off twice the other night but it was only for 5 seconds each time and the ac system didn't have to reset just started working again

Well, it's back. Fan shut off a few times and kicked back on 10 secs later and then it shut down and did the reset and turned the defrost on, once. I guess it's back to the dealer again. Had the truck 2 weeks now and already will be in for service twice. What are my options if they can't fix it this time either.

Personally I would try a different dealer. You don't necessarily have to use your original purchasing dealer if you don't want to or they can't get the job done.
