What's up guys?
I recently picked up a 2020 1500 Classic. It is my third Ram, but first with V6. Other two were Hemi's. I just needed a basic 4 door truck that I wasn't going to mod and was inexpensive. For under $20,000 brand new it fit the bill perfectly. Got about 1000 miles on it now and so far so good. Here is a little review I did soon after I picked it up.

There is one minor issue though. I got a Compustar remote start system from Best Buy, but they said they don't make a T-harness for my truck and I don't want them hacking into my brand new truck harness. Can anyone possibly point me in the right direction or offer any advice? Worst case I'll just return the Compustar and wait until a T-harness is available.

My previous trucks.

I wonder if it would be possible to go the OEM route and just have activated by the dealer or see is Alpha OBD works on the 2020 classic yet.

I went by the dealer and they said remote start/keyless entry is not a factory option. Since this is just a base truck it comes with a normal metal key, not the stubby plastic one like my old trucks. Maybe that is why?

You've got some mad video skills! That was awesome!

Crazy deal on that truck. A base model extended cab w/ automatic transmission would have been $20K 25+ years ago. I remember my early 1990s Dodge Dakota and Chevy 1500 being $13-14K in reg cab, shorty, 2wd, 5MT 6cyl flavor.

I wonder what the chances would be for every average Joe getting this deal? I'm thinking pretty slim given not everyone is eligible for all the rebates and incentives. I've never even seen a base model on the lots near me.

It definitely was a good deal I had to jump on. Trucks are so dang expensive these days and I didn't need anything fancy.

I just checked their website and I guess the rebates have changed for August. Same exact truck is now listed at $23k after rebates.

I'm just having fun playing around shooting and editing videos on my $60 phone. I've got a couple 4k cameras coming next week, so I can step it up a notch and try to grow my channel further.

No doubt on the changes with pricing in a short period of time!

I bought my 2019 Ram 1500 classic the first week in July as an ex-rental from Enterprise. It's a 4x4, crew cab SLT model w/ hemi. With tax and all was just over $28K. The same truck is now $3-4K more, but with 36K+ miles on it as opposed to the 15K mine had on it.

That's amazing your video handiwork was done on a $60 phone.

You really made out like a bandit on that deal. I loved my 2017 pentastar quad cab. Did the 'upgrade' because my kids had outgrown the quad and I get vehicular ADHD from time to time.

Low mileage 4x4 Crew cab under $30k definitely hard to beat that.

The extra room in the crew cab was nice for the kids, but the quad is doable right now while ours are little.

Thanks! Just getting my feet wet. I'm always thrifty minded and my last 3yo $60 phone battery was dying so I found this one on sale with decent specs.

Amen to that. My darling bride and teenage kids are hooked on iPhones. I like'em too, but love my $100 and under andriods a lot better.

If my kids want anything more expensive than that for a smart phone, they have to give me the cash and I'll order them the iPhone of their choice.
