I'm installing a backup camera and am curious which options i need to get the camera to function. I have a 2012 1500 with an RBZ430 headunit. I saw the list on the 2013+ thread, but wasn't sure if it was the same for the earlier trucks.

If I remember correctly, there's only one or maybe two settings you need to enable, Rear Camera Present: Set. I don't think the CSM or grid lines settings did anything

Thank you. I only saw 'rear camera present' in the list, but wasnt sure if there were more hiding in other sections. Im wiring it up today, so hopefully I'll be able to test and confirm.

Have any of yall disabled sentry key? I'm about to get into installing a new dash harness for power windows and locks, id like to add a keyfob for RKE as well but I don't want anything to do with that sentry key BS. Unfortunately the RKE and sentry key system are within the same module, so I'm not sure if its even possible to disable sentry key and enable RKE on the 06-08s

My truck is an ST but I have the digital gauge cluster for the 09-12 trucks (looks like the base cluster for 13+ trucks). So I do not have the digital speedometer in my cluster but would love to activate it if I can... anyone know if this is an option?

I'm curious about the digital speedometer as well. Don't suppose anyone has found that in AlfaOBD? Also trying to figure out how to program a WIN module.

What is the best way to calibrate speedometer to match tire size on 2012 2500. Has bigger tires and speedometer is slow!!!!

So for anyone trying to use Alfa on their 3rd gens (06-08s), I just now realized we have to set the vehicle type to Ram 2500 or Ram 3500. For some reason our vehicle code (DR) isn’t listed in the Ram 1500 vehicle type and thus hides most of the modules available for us 3rd genners. Set your vehicle type to either Ram 2500 or 3500 and you should be able to see all of our modules

Idk if I’m just kinda dumb for just now figuring this out or what, but hopefully I can help someone else down the road lol


Still looking for a way to enable power locks and adjust tire size, hopefully I’ll be able to find some solutions

So guys I need help just got the odblink MX+ literally only bought it cause my speedo is 10-15mph off was trying to change the size and I am getting the message it failed ...any help ...seen here that people have done it before

2012 Ram 2500 Cummins. Is there a time limit to how long this truck will idle and is it changed with the Alpha OBD. My son has left his truck idling and locked while he was in the store to keep dogs cool, he has had it shut down twice, once while he was stand talking to someone close enough for him to hear it shut down.

Has something called EFI Live.

It may be a setting in EFI live. He should can it, let it idle, and time how long it takes. May be able to change it.

He talked to the guy that installed the EFI, he says it's a factory setting. Something I did not disclose because I just found out, it only does it on the remote start, Idles so long then shuts off!!!!

Went into Alpha OBD in my phone and found "Idle Shutdown Option" goes from 5 minutes to 60 Minutes so I think we can fix him up!!!!!

Most remote starts time out at 15 minutes so being able to up it to 1 hour is a nice feature.

If I remember correctly, that will automatically shut the truck off if it idle for that set amount of time. The time to shutdown for the remote start is separate from that, pretty sure that value won't change the remote start. Most are programmed to turn off after 15 minutes. But you could try it.

Is AlfaOBD absolutely not compatible with any pre-2006 Ram?

Not 100% sure on the years, but Rams before 05 or 06 use a PCI bus, 05 or 06 and up are CAN bus vehicles. AlfaOBD only works on the CAN bus
