I left my truck on accessories today and noticed that the volume of the radio jumped up louder for about 4 or 5 seconds and went back to where it was preciously set. This happens about every 5 minutes. I have timed it. It has happened several times now. This is not the only electronic bug I have noticed.
No one walked around the truck and it is not on the radio rather on the AUX flash drive.
HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS HAPPEN?

Mine too. Sometimes I have to turn it down or wait for it to go back down. Happens whether I listen to satellite radio or local radio.

Mine is like clockwork. I think that has to tell these software engineers something... every 5 minutes it goes loud for 4 or 5 seconds and then back to where it was set, start the clock and 5 minutes later, bang it goes loud again.
This is only while parked on accessories and NOT while driving. Doesn't seem to make a difference doors open or closed.

Add mine to the list - 2020 with 8.4 non NAV. Only tested with Sirus so far.

I sent a private message but have not received a reply. How long before I get a recommendation from RamCares?
I called the dealership and got no where.

Not exactly but something weird about mine two. I have a 19 classic that went into service March of 19 and when my truck is cold (sub mod 30s), I only get sound out of one of the front speakers until the ambient temp is above mid 40s or more then the front two work. The rear left no longer works and the rear right is about 30% compared to the fronts when they are working.
Bad head unit?

Now that is something I have not seen posted about. I have Googled my issues and seen I am not the only one seeing this behavior from the radio. I have read post that a soft reset may help and other say disconnect the battery for several minutes may also help. I am wiling to trouble shoot for someone who knows what they are doing so hopefully we can get some guidance on these issues.
I did respond to RamCares request for information and express my willingness to troubleshoot with guidance.

Would anyone who is experiencing this issue with the radio blasting for a few seconds every 5 minutes wanna see if this issue goes away with a change of radio setting? I found something that made this issue go away, at least so far I THINK.

Go into "Audio" settings and change the settings for "Speed Adjuster Volume". Check where your radio is set.
I had mine set on 3 for max volume adjustment with speed and on this setting is where the volume would blast every 5 minutes. By changing this back to off the radio no longer increases the volume every 5 minutes.
I also noticed what triggers the volume increase or at least what else is going on when this happens. My EVIC is set to display the MPH and every 5 minutes I see this goes from zero to 3 dashes for a few seconds; this is when the radio would blast when set to maximum Speed Adjuster Volume. BUT since I turned that feature off the radio no longer blast but I still see the MPH go from zero to 3 dashes every 5 minutes.

If someone would check their settings and see if the changes I posted above gives the same results please post your findings.

Disabling speed compensated volume eliminated the issue for me in the acc position, run, and with retained accessory power with the key out. Toggled back and forth a few times and the glitch was repeatable.

Unrelated, but I found a high pitched whine while under the truck with the key in the acc position.

Thank you for confirming what I found. I am still waiting for RamCares to contact me on my issue but this info may help the techs.
Whatever the software issue is it sets my MPH to 3 dashes for a couple seconds. This is when the radio would blast. I am sure they are working on a fix but until then I will keep turning down that radio manually at a stop.
