Hey gang!

New ram owner's here. Bought less than week ago my first ram 1500. It has bed cover but no any liners. Tried to find any drop-in but found nothing. So my question is: are 2021 beds different than previous ones? Does anyone use bedliner from previous models on 21? Checked mopar catalog and it doesn’t have any options for my truck as well. My local dealers say: liners are currently unavailable.
I thought i can use from 2020...

X3 don't do drop in.

Picked up an 03 Silverado 3 years ago and the front of the bed had holes. The factory plastic liner is a great accessory to hold dirty water in the crevices to help rot out the truck so you have an excuse to buy a newer one sooner.

Spray in and done.

Welcome to RamForum. Another vote for spray-in here. In my experience the plastic liners increase the chances of rust in the bed, and sometimes they obscure the lower tie-downs.

thanks for greetings and replies!

so talked to local LINE-X dealer:
545$ (no tax) - regular spray-in
675 - premium
845 - color match.

tough choice. I'd like to have color matched bed but price difference...ugh...

hey guys, just got mopar bed rails and now i have another question.

Does it matter when that rails should be installed? before, after spray-in linings or doesn’t matter?

decided to go with regular line-x btw

Took my wife's 2019 RAM 1500 Bighorn 4wd straight to Line-X and had them install the Premium Spray-in Liner. Lifetime warranty and looks dang good!

The rails us a hex shaped nut-sert that is a tight fit. IIWMT I'd put round head bolts in the holes to keep the spray liner out (It's a bear to trim) and install them after the liner is applied. You'll still need to cut around the bolts to remove them but that's probably easier than trimming and less chance of damage to the paint in the holes.

The difference between regular and premium Line-x is not strength or durability. It just has uv protection mixed in and a slightly smoother finish, makes it easier to slide things in and out i guess. My dealer here charges $650 for premium and $550 regular. I opted for premium but doubt i would have noticed a difference between the two.

AFTER................(speaking from personal experience)..................Your going to have to expand the threaded anchors into the holes anyways. You can put cheap bolts in the holes to keep them clean if you want. I too had to drive in the Expanding Anchors, so I chose to have the liner sprayed in first. I chose Line-X Premium Spray In. It has a far better look (plus they offer different colors) and is UV protected, not to mention has a Lifetime Warranty!..:)

Congrats on your new truck! My 2020 came with the factory spray in liner which I have been happy with so far. If it didn’t I would have gone straight to Line X as others have suggested.

I’m probably going to do the line x spray bed liner in a week or two as well.

Don't do color match. They'll tell you it won't fade, but I've never seen one that wasn't faded.

Also I can vouch that Rhino Liner and Permatech aren't great. Line-X is the one I haven't tried but every truck I've seen with it looks like they hold up better than my rhino or Permatech.
