This from the current issue of C&D. In theory, the tighter the gap the better the manufacturing process control. Ram scored really well. Check out how low Toyota is on the list.

Nice.

Brings a whole new meaning to "mind the gap".

Fortunately for them they didn't measure mine during random sampling.

The Rambox would be an outlier. The gaps suck and are worse if the lid is warped.

I haver never seen a factory vehicle have as bad of fit/finish as the ramboxes are. They really are horrendous.

Should I not be getting ram boxes on the 2021? Or have they fixed them

Haven’t seen any 2021’s but they were bad on most of the 19’s and 20’s I looked at before I bought mine. Which is why I opted for a truck without them. I like the idea and alot of folks seem to love them though.

Same box. So not sure the fit/finish will be any different.

Only reason I would not get ramboxes is if I was for sure wanting a full topper.

I'd say it depends. Depends on what's in stock on the lot and everything else meets your requirement and the Ramboxes are perfect, go for it.

If you order one, then it's analogous to the line in Forrest Gump movie, "Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." At least you get three years to sort it out with an uncertain end state.

If the FCA engineers and designers would take the time to redesign how lids latch and address the warping would go a long way in fit and function department.

Despite that, I still like them. Very useful, not a great deal of storage space, but useful nonetheless. The Ramboxes are part of the overall cargo management system, or whatever it's called, and includes the tie down rails, bed divider/extender, and bed LED lighting.
