Successful
I have a 2017 Ram 2500. I was able to program a cluster from a 2018 w/ OBDLink MX and ALFAOBD v. 2.1.9.5. It took on the first try and no issue. Never displayed the "Continental" logo. At the time this was done, my fire tablet, OBDLink, and AlfaOBD were not up to date.

Unsuccessful
I went to program a cluster from a 2014 for my dad's 2014 and it will not program. I have updated ALFA to 2.1.9.6, I have updated the OBDLink, I have updated my Fire tablet. Would not program in my 2017. I then drove to my dads and installed in his 2014 with the same response. It displays the Continental logo and at that point I know its a waste of time. I even tried selecting "3.5 cluster," to see if that would do it and sadly it does not. What is more disappointing is that I have emailed Alexey twice now and no response yet, but maybe due to the holidays. I've read a couple of guys who got the windows version and that worked. I'm open to any solutions or things to try.

I'm another one having problems.

2018 2500 tradesman
OBDlink mx+ up to date
Bypass cable snapped in tight
Alfa up to date
Galaxy S9 phone

Trying to add a 2017 longhorn evic, no luck after a couple dozen tries. Did the turn off for 30 seconds then another time wait only 10 seconds. I get the continental logo to come up but neither the miles or hours have changed. No data received from ECU

I sent the debug info to Alfa and waiting for their response.

FIXED!!! Alexey sent me a link to a Windows Version. After activation the mileage corrected on the first try..

Thoughts were that the phone I was using may have been a problem it was a Galaxy using Lollipop.
I had also tried the VIN write, it took and was confirmed but that had not worked for me.

Thanks everyone for your assistance..
What was the link sent, I have the same issue.

Over Christmas I installed a Premium EVIC from a 2015 1500 Laramie ECO Diesel in my 2017 2500 Diesel. I had just purchased the latest release of android app and updated also obd link+ firmware. The only thing I could do successfully with my android app was change my TPMS (I had previous gotten my PIN) but could not change engine hours, or mileage.

I had emailed Alexey and he graciously responded and sent me a link for the windows version which allowed me to change the idle hours and life time hours but disappointedly I still haven't been able to correct the mileage.

I also tried the VIN update to the IPC and it was a strange experience to say the least. The VIN write procedure after a few moments responded procedure failed and then the IPC appeared to just lock-up on the continental splash screen for several minutes (Even with the key off) then as I'm thinking I just made a brick out of my IPC finally powers off. The good news is the IPC powers back up and appears fine and when I look at the log it indicates it took my VIN.

Still cant get the mileage to correct, almost at the point I will remove it and send it in to one of the companies I see on-line get it corrected as I want to keep my miles honest. I'm Open for suggestions,

Has anyone had any luck with this? I have a 2015 express with a 2015 7in cluster and still no luck on changing the mileage.

Just curious on my IPC 2015 cluster that I added to my 2017 that I cant set the miles the log shows"

"VIN Odometer Counter:
Response on Event - light activation state: Not defined"

which I suspect is why I cant update the miles

Ram brawler can you update the hours? I could on mine but only with the windows version

I had emailed Alexey but haven't heard back nor does he owe me anything so who knows

Finally success, Alexey emailed me a link to a PC_fix.rar for the windows version (2.2.5.0) that I have been using, and it worked first time out of the gate and was able to set my mileage to the correct values! I suspect he will be updating the android version as well.

I have the newest PC version 2250 and that does not work. Is there a patch for that and how did you get it?

I am having the same problem here as mentioned in every post. Have the OBDlink MX+, alphaOBD is up to date. Can confirm that every other feature works to my knowledge like LED headlight, foglight, seatbelt warning ect. I get the "shut engine off for 30 seconds, restart and wait for checks to complete and hit ok". Then display flashes the continental badge then phone says failed. I tried selecting the 3.5" option just for fun and it added 200000km!! Now im totally off in mileage at least I wrote everything down. Is anyone here able to suggest anything yet? I am new here just joined for this reason LOL.

For those who are having trouble changing mileage try using the 3.5" cluster option. It atleast works with windows

Add me to the list please. I was able to change the idle hours but after that the total hours went to 70 million . I checked the vin and the cluster reports the correct vin. I am using a link mx+ and have the app in my phone (motorola one zoom) with android 9 and no fluff software. I did contact the developers through the email in the app store but no word yet.
Like other guys in here, any help is much appreciated.

It won't let me change my mileage on my 18 either. I added fog lights successfully, and added led license plate lights. But it says unsuccessful and flashes continental. Using the app and my galaxy s21

Mine does the same thing.

I can get mine to work about 50% of the time by going through the process, then after the continental logo/reboot sequence, hitting the "start" button in alphaOBD again, and letting it rerun the process, but leaving the truck key switched on the 2nd time.

Alpha still says "procedure failed", but the mileage shows correct on the odometer.

I still can't get the run hours or idle hours to change though.

I found an alpha obd group on facebook, and a guy sent me an older version of alpha obd that will allow it to work on a phone...apparently a phone won't send the info fast enough with how big the app is now. I haven't tried it yet...but i may try the windows version or getting a faster tablet
