Agreed.
@Brads41789 , Not sure what year/model (1500?) your truck is but, Based on the build sheet and if you don't already have them.. i'd consider getting the ...

- 2018/19 classic Premium Dual USB hub & the plastic shell insert from the jumpseat... unless you have/upgraded to a console.

- Power fold Mirrors, Driver door sw, Drvr/Pass door modules

- Rearview/AutoDim Mirror (no Mics)... Not directly compatible with 13-16 trucks that need mirror with mics.

- Overhead Console w/HomeLink

- Steering Wheel w/Audio Controls & Phone /VR Buttons - maybe

- 7" EVIC Cluster (may not work well on 13-14 trucks, ie TPMS)

- Foglight/Headlight Switch and other bumper/FogLt hardware.

- Fold Flat Under seat Rear floor

- Glovebox Lamp/sw

M² Mods.

Great price! You beat the "scalpers"...at those prices I'd see what else they'd give you from the vehicle you might need (USB hub, premium cluster?).

I forgot about the seat liner and hub. I might check back with them tomorrow on that. I have a 15 express crew. I've already done the power folds, mic mirror, homelink console (also installed the rear dome light so I have 2 dome lights and a console), leather wheel, 7" EVIC. My truck came standard with fogs though! I ordered a set of Laramie seats off ebay this morning so that will be done soon, also found a 14 Laramie cab harness in hopes I can just swap the current floor harness for the Laramie one and avoid any actual wiring. This spring I plan on doing the Sport/Laramie dash and the dual zone ATC upgrades and after that I think I will have it the way I want it (for now)

Cab harness won't be enough. Several wires go the the PDC as well. ... And the cab harness likely won't be a direct plug n play swap (may be different signals/voltages on same connector/pins) without stripping down/swapping out individual wire runs needed to add to your current harness... It can be done, just be careful and verify what your doing with a high degree of confidence (I also offer add-on heated/cooled seat harness set).

I definitely like the idea of that much better than running my own wires (I'm not unable to, but I always second guess myself) so I may be in need of said seat wiring in the very near future. They are heated/vented/memory seats, and the passenger seat has the inverter

@Cmacks88 Can you check the part number of your HSM? It is under the drivers seat at the front left corner. If you slide the seat all the way forward, you will be able to read the label. If you have a 68217268xx it should work without the conversion harness.

....

The HSM in my 2015 Laramie is 68217268AB. So it is a newer revision of the same module as the 2014 GC Summit HSM I tested in my truck.

I think the HSM upgrade would work instead of buying the conversion harness and even when buying a new HSM it is still $100 cheaper.

....

EDIT3: The wiring for the 2015 HSM that works with the UAQ radio matches up on the wiring and connections for 2013 and 2014 trucks so it would be a direct swap with no extra modules.

EDIT4: Looking at the part numbers, 68217268AF supersedes the 680x HSMs found in 2013 and 2014 RAMs and the 2014/15 GCs. So now I am about 99% sure a HSM swap would work instead of buying conversion module from Infotainment. It pretty well covers all the gen 4 1500/2500/3500 and the 19/20 classic.

FYI... @Buckeye2019 is finishing up his seat install today (he has a prior UAQ upgrade) and here's what he has...

2018 Ram 2500 Tradesman CC (8.4 conversion from RA2 to UAQ )

Installing: 2014 Ram 2500 MC Laramie Seats w/Mem
(verified driver seat has 68217268Ax Heated Seat Module 'HSM' )
> Also has Switch Bank Buttons for Heated/Cooled Seats and Wheel.

Hopefully he will respond back on how it all goes once AlfaOBD programming changes are done (ref: settings Summary List in heated Seat/Wheel thread at : Post 1868) and can verify that the UAQ on-screen menus work for the seats with that newer HSM.

I will re-post this to the Heated Seat and Wheel thread

Unfortunately the new radio I bought won’t be in until after I go back to work and I’ll be gone for a month. It’ll be February before I can report back on my findings.

Hopefully Buckeye2019 has some luck.

The build sheet for the VIN checks out as a 2019 Classic (4th gen) Bighorn with an 8.4 4c UAS radio & a lot of options. (Enterprise rent a car) . Enter VIN here.

I can't confirm that PN, but if you trust that the salvage yard gave you the correct VIN for the radio (ie actually came out of that 4th gen truck?), I would expect it to work.

If they accept returns and you take a chance on it, please report back.

Edit: quick Google search of that PN shows it as listed pn for a 2020 Ram 1500 classic
UAS 4c Radio: 68461703AB.

The radio arrived today. It fit perfectly and everything works flawlessly. It only took 3 or 4 cycles for it to read the BCM and display SXM. So it is indeed a UAS and the part number is verified as working. Under the sticker was the exact same number except it was originally an AA revision but they did something and replaced the sticker with an AB (I peeled it off because I was curious if underneath was an entirely different part number.

That is actually a great suggestion. You can't tell unless it's a certain angle, but the screen is pretty "scratched" up. They're not rough, just like light scuffs really so I will definitely be ordering a protector ASAP to keep any ACTUAL damage

No worries, they all do that. The factory protector is very soft.

Out of curiosity I have wondered why I have seen a couple of UAQ's and UAS's that have the "Source Select" soft key before the SXM soft key but my UAQ running on 22.6 does not. I only have the media section. Does anyone know what may be different? I purchased my UAQ brand new in 2018. TIA

I can not say for sure, but I do know that this one is also running 22.6 as it was on a sticker on the frame. I haven't verified the source select as I do not have the proper USB hub installed yet so the first thing it shows every time I turn it on is "Hub not compatible" lol

Has anyone actually posted 3d print instructions for the 2018 two usb + aux hub? I see a couple of photos about it and I see the print info for the usb-c hub, but nothing for the 2018 2+1 hub.

Its running a higher application number.either someone updated to a newer version or the radio/parts are from a different vehicle.unless it came from a 19 or 20 classic.my 20 tradesman is running a 34.2 from the factory.however the right speaker channel isn't working.i switched speakers from one side to the other so I know its not the speakers.i told the service dept that.they swear its a bad tweeter and ordered a new one.i didn't argue I quess they will find out it isn't the speakers when they install it.i'm hopeful its the radio I don't want them tacking the dash out to replace a harness.

I figured this was the thread where folks have the most experience removing the radio bezel. My old truck had the jump seat so no center console. To remove the bezel it was just, remove the two screws on the top, give it some yanks, and off she came. Is the bucket seat version the same?

For my 2017 1500 sport there is an extra torx screw in the bottom of the little cubby hole in top of the 110v socket. You also have to remove the center console tray first, single bolt at the bottom under the rubber mat and 2 Philip screws where you would put sunglasses.
