Well, real money has now been committed and the various waiting periods have begun.

Items that have been ordered:

Carli / King Pintop full meal deal kit (should have shipped today)
AEV Katla 17 x 10 (4 of 5 in stock and shipping asap)
AEV High Mark Fenders for Rambox (in stock and shipping asap)
AEV Diff Covers (in stock and shipping asap)
White Knuckle Sliders (I'm in queue)
Nuthouse Industries Bed Rack with too many options (deposit made, in the queue)

Waiting on more info:

AEV Front Bumper for PW: AEV has a PW in house this week to sort out the winch situation. They're not sure if it's just a bracket or an entirely new center section that will be needed so I'm waiting for them to resolve it.

Rear Bumper: Was torn between the AEV and Expedition One, leaning AEV after talking to Nuthouse regarding spare tire mounting, but that remains a ? still.

Tires: Ego wants 39" KM3's, brain says a 37" All Terrain is the right choice. The tug of war continues.

Odds and ends:

Lighting: Will be a collection of Baja Designs, not sure exactly how it's gonna shake out just yet but it'll be excessive and totally ridiculous for sure.

On Board Air: ARB dual in the passenger side Rambox

Roof Rack: Not sure I need one, will depend on solar mounting options once the bed rack is sorted.

Electronics: Mix of sPOD and Red Arc, depending on where everything ends up.

Overhead console: Still need to find someone capable to build what I'm dreaming up.

Comms: Will be moving the comms from my 200 Series over once the build is complete, HAM, FRS and Sat Phone. CB will stay with the 200 series as I just don't need it anymore since I've completely over attending any club based events that required CB's.

To be continued...

Full carli kit with aev flares?! Yea, you simply cant do 37’s...it would look full retard.

Below is a pic of a carli kit with aev flares and 39” km3’s. The tires already look too small...imagine a 37.

Sounds like an amazing list but with the AEV flares definitely need to go 4D's

Maybe regear if you go bigger than 37?? Stick to E rated if you can. Don’t forget the rock lights. So you can see what kind of car you just ran over.
If you are going onboard air to pump up those tires get at least two tanks as well or you will be there a while. Plus use 3/4 tubing/hose. Good luck!

Gearing will happen, just need to pick a tire / size first.

Not too concerned about the speed of airing up but the system we install will be more than adequate. This isn’t my first rodeo.

At the end of the day, it really boils down to the output of the compressor. All the tanks are just temporary air...

If you are indeed going with aev flares, you pretty much need 40’s. Anything else just will look odd as hell.

I kinda remember seeing a pic of a set of 37’s with the aev flares and no lift. Still looked roller-skate ish.

Yes CFM is important and why I chose the same unit. But on my little 35s, it took 8mins per tire coming from 20 to 60psi without the tanks and 3 minutes with the tanks. That is 20 minutes, not a deal breaker, no, but something to consider if it is 7-9 minutes per tire with 40” tires then you will be airing up for 30-40 minutes.
If I leave my compressor off, the tanks can almost do 2 tires 15lbs when full. If space would allow, I wanted to run bigger and longer tanks on the frame, but I could not get them to fit just right.

Am messing up the OPs build thread so we can revert to the On board air thread I had last year if need be.

Ahhhh, so the amount in the tanks is actually filling nearly two tires....that must be why it takes less time with tanks. Definitely worth it for the time savings i suppose. ****, might as well add a few more tanks hahahahah.

The problem with your thinking is that proper inflation pressures change with tire size and there would never be a reason to run 60 psi unless you were max towing.

Stock: https://tirepressure.com/lt285-70r17-tire-pressure

39" KM3: https://tirepressure.com/39x13-50r17-tire-pressure

40's: https://tirepressure.com/40x14-50r17-tire-pressure

For example, if your vehicle was distributing 2755 lbs per corner:

Stock tire = 50psi
39" KM3 = 29 psi (30 psi for 2855, so I'm guessing)
40's = 25 psi

problem with my “thinking”??
I run 52 lbs daily as I carry 600lbs in gear and mods.(check out my build thread. Watch out you might learn something;) ) I air up to 60 when towing. That day I am referring to, I was only testing and running a stop watch. This is my 3rd truck with on board air and I learned as I went. Though it is not my first rodeo neither, there is still plenty to learn from this forum.

Yep, a big problem. You don't understand how tire inflation tables work. It's science, not some dark art. The drivel spewing from your fingers would be comical if people didn't listen to you and follow suit.
