I'm thinking it will and it should but I'm definitely going to check just out of curiosity.

So one question I have with this mod that just occurred to me is the backup key. Are you guys taking the new blank and just having a locksmith or dealer cut it to match the original? Or not bothering?

I had mine cut just in case the battery ever dies while I was out somewhere. It will get you in the truck and I believe you can still start it by using the fob to push the start button even with a dead battery.

Anyone have the rf module part number for a 2015 1500? Too many threads to search. Also, why are most recent people moving the antennas to the rear doors? Are there issues with the original post stating putting them in the front door?

Part numbers for the proximity door handles with paint code pw7 with chrome handles would be greatly appreciated as well.

68319680AE will work for the hub. There is also 68363199AC which I believe will work but I’m not 100% sure.

1UJ831W7AJ - LF Handle
1UJ881W7AJ - RF Handle
1GH271W7AG - LR Handle
1GH261W7AG - RR Handle

I for one put the antennas in the rear because that is where they were put from the factory. That and I had to replace my rear door handles anyway so I was gonna be in the doors already doing that.

Makes sense. I'll definitely have it cut once I get everything working. If I ever get my parts from Mopar lol.

I'll get a second fob as well.

Where did you take yours? I assume a good locksmith should be able to do it.

Thank you doughrat19! I was literally searching for hours and couldn't find the part numbers.

Glad to hear the antenna location is just a preference. I already have the pw7 chrome handles in the front and rear so I rather not buy all 4 new handles. Trying to save a little money. Lol

I had the antennas mounted in the B pillar for a while and it worked ok. I mounted them in the factory location in the rear doors and they seemed to work better. They were a little hit and miss depending on what pocket my fob was in and how close I was to the truck when they were mounted in the B pillar on my truck but they will work either way.

Thanks @Ricks Ram . I'll plan on just installing them in the factory location. What's a little more time taking the rear doors apart. Rather do it one time than multiple times.

I do have a question about the rf module.

68234886AE states it is for a 2015 but cost $125
68319680AE (recommended by @DoughRat19 ) states it's for a 2017 and only cost $72

Will the cheaper one work on a 2015? Both parts description state it's for keyless go, proximity, and remote start which is what I want.

Usually electrical parts are not returnable so I want to double check. Thanks again!

Dammit now I gotta go move mine :)

Works OK for me in the b-pillar but now Im curious how much better (if any) it would work for me in the stock location.

just installed the cheaper one on a 2016 today if that helps. Pretty sure they are backwards compatible.

I'm at the reset hub step but I'm getting a "The programed FOBIK is not inside the vehicle" error. I go to program the fob and it says it's already learned. I can unlock/lock the doors with the FOB. While I was programming the FOB it was stuck for 10mins so I canceled out. Anything I can try besides purchasing another FOB?

Is the truck in the Run position?
