I have been on this issue for some time since I installed the 2018 lid/hub assembly in my 2017 2500 as mentioned. I had Mikes harness in the past, but sold it when I got the 2018 stuff and as described, the panel light is always on, even when the truck is turned off. So given that, and the fact I have yet to cut/ move pins, I have lived with the “drain” issue and as of now, I have never had the battery drain to the point of experiencing a dead battery and couldn’t get the truck started. Now I don’t know how much juice I’m pulling, but not starting the truck for up to 6 days I haven’t had an issue. So I’m just leaving it alone (I have left my music jump drive in there too). Just my experience so far!
Thanks! Did you have the always on issue with the M2 harness and the 2017 gear?

I am 100% certain that the light on my hub was off when the truck was on (key RUN, engine off) and that it came on when the truck went off. IIRC there was actually a delay and the HU popped on for a second (saw the RAM animation) and then went off - but the hub back light stayed on.

No. It worked as it was supposed to. I didn’t want to try cutting the 2017 tray to fit the new 2018 hub, but Mikes harness worked perfectly as it supposed to. I have been holding off as I’m certainly not anywhere near skilled electrician/problem solver as many on this site. So I’ll live with the panel light on and hope it continues to not kill the battery and leave me stranded in Tim Buck Two here somewhere in Colorado.

I have to go back out and reconnect the hub and see what it does ... maybe it turned on as a function of the new head unit being in the truck and learning the computer or something ... I dunno.

I’m thinking of switching to this too. Did you have the dual usb in there before? Did you need the adapter because of upgrading to the UAS/UAQ? I think I say you had Android Auto working with usb-c do you know if CarPlay was also working ok with the usb-c?

I had the USB/SD Card reader before which was not supported by the UAS I bought. Android Auto works great with USB-C to USB-C. I imagine carplay would work fine with USB-C to lightening or USB to lightening. I'll test it when I get a chance. My wife has an iPhone.

Ok cool thanks. I have a 2014 Ram but I bought a 2018 lid which has the harness needed already for the dual usb. Do you know if it’s the same harness for the usb-c outlets?

New to the forum and very impressed. The knowledge shared is much welcomed.

Been reading about the MTC to ATC conversion and want to make that happen. I have a 2017 regular cab sport that came with the VP4 NA which was swapped out in 2019 with a 2019 VP4R-A (68331632AJ) from Infotaintment. The HVAC is a seven speed unit. Would like to start first with just the harness/sensor upgrade and then eventually finish with the bezel mod. Can you guys at M2Mods get me going?

It should be. I bought the adapter that M2 Mods sells for the 2018 USB hubs and it works great with the USB-C hub.

After numerous attempts to correct the issue with my heated seat controls being greyed out, I am at an end. I could not fix it and have run out of options that I can see. I have tried all the configuration changes and options in AlphaOBD, received a new UAQ head unit, and even went as far as purchasing the module from infotainment.com for the MY 2014 trucks. Nothing has worked. My last thought would be maybe a software bug with the head unit but I doubt I would be able to correct that anyway as I don't have the VIN for the truck it cam from. Anyone else got any suggestions?

Tried to find how to do a factory reset in enginering mode but it lools like a no go on the UAQ. have you pulled the fuse let it sit for a little bit. Then install the fuse cycle the key a few times and let it sit for a couple of hours untouched?

I have android version.

Attached is what I see. Buttons are there. Seats will even be on but I can't control them.

View attachment 235544

Connect to the BCM then go to the battery icon on the bottom. Hit the following buttons:

After that, hit the button with the wrenches on it and hit upload to google drive.

Repeat the steps for the HSM. It is under "Driver Seat" in the second drop down then select HSM MY2013-2017 PowerNet.
