Lucky you, maybe they changed the depth/height on the caps or something? Idk, next time I take mine off to grease I'm going to try again and make sure that I'm not crazy.

Yeah, the caps do complete the look of the UCAs. For $40 and driving in the snow/salt around here, the potential extra protection they give is worth it for me.

That's what i'm thinking, everywhere i've read people said the dust caps wouldn't fit with the standard zerks so i guess they may have changed the cap depth. I drove through a bunch of potholes and crap today and they're still there so i'm hoping they'll stay. I only have set of rings extra so i i'll order some more for the future.

Something is for sure and i'm not kidding these UCA's are providing me with a noticeable ride improvement over the Zones. Maybe the Zones didn't like the 2.75" lift i swear im scratching my head as to why the difference. Perhaps because the poly bushings have less deflection in the mounts, perhaps because the delta joint angles up/down better when the front cycles in/out, not exactly sure what it is but i promise these new UCA's are really hitting a home run so far in my truck :)

I just switched back from the Spmaxx stock lenght sway bar links to the 1300L once again. I found them yesterday in my pile of old truck toys. I remember i went with the stock length ones to prevent my front from cycling up an extra 1/2" because of the 37's to keep them away from the frenders. Free mods are always the best and just a way to say heck i did something new to the truck :)

any preference between the suspension maxx links? Mine need replaced soon and im thinking with the extra droop in these icons the longer links might be worth while now, but I do remember you reported some ride changes with these...just can't find exactly what it was

Stock length with 37's, L's with 35's. I think the weirdness was my Zone UCA BJ's past 2.5" lift as i had them at 2.75" and the BJ wasn't very happy about the angles my thought the angle while the strut is compressing and the UCA goes upwards.

Got ya, yea im not gonna be changing tires for a while so im gonna get me some of those long ones. These Ready Lift arms are still fine, just ugly right now. Far as I can tell the BJ should have adequate movement for full bump and droop with these, sway bar links on the other hand....they're screaming at droop. Figure a few tweaks and everything should be as good as I can get.

Ordered a set of Coil spring insulators from Eibach to get rid of the mickey mouse i fabricated as a test from vinyl tube couple of years ago. They're clear vinyl and between dirt and some mud from the trail they've seen they look like crap though still fully functional.

Also i'll be checking some smooth flares i ordered from American truck, i think same ones as @hodge-xj . If i don't like them i'll return them.
My front bumper has a provision for them so i thought of giving them a try and see how do they look in my truck since i have a bunch of blacked out accents already.

Clayton springs haven't sagged since May 2020 when i did the install. My 500lbs Kings springs have maybe 2 more turns in the adjuster before i can claim they won't turn anymore :) If i get a steel bumper skid i'll need to switch CO springs.

When you get the flares add some weather stripping behind them. I'll check my garage and find the package. It's shaped like the letter "D" and sticky on the back. It'll save your paint. They leave marks, but buff off pretty easily compared to the plastic actually gouging through the paint. I personally think they'll look awesome on your rig.

I'm with you on the coilovers. I'm already considering having icon add heavier coils to mine. I've got 2 turns left and that's with stock weight. Bleh.

I am working on something with Nick in regards to rear coils. OME hasn't responded to my order, so I'm considering the gen 5 eibach rear coils at 20.5" long as an inbetween. They'll let me retain my 28" rear shocks at least. I've come to realization I'm adding a 1.5 body lift this spring to get it aesthetically where I want. I'd rather have lower height and better performance out of my suspension than having it maxxed out.

So that weather stripping thing comes with the flares ? I have a weather stripping roll that i've used for doors or underneath my softopper rails to have a better seal. would that be the same stuff ?

The 5th gen Eibach should work good for you, 1" taller than your Bisteins ? That's literally the ORP option for the dudes with 5th gen trucks when they didn't have ORP from the factory. i'm curious about the thickness on those springs compared to your Bilsteins. You have a dig caliper see if you can measure both for the sake of knowing what we have.

Prob you don't want heavier springs in your CO's you should have 650lbs springs already, what you'll need is more likely 14" springs instead of 13", that way you don't mess up with your valving, and you can dial the adjuster preload back in case you need to adjust for a steel bumper down the road.

ah ok so the stripe gets installed across the edge of the flare ?
Yep flat side of the stripping to the flare. I tried using double sided tape but there's enough of a bulge or radius to the body that it didn't perfectly conform with the not so perfect fit of the flare. Eventually it pulled up. Maybe oem flares fit better but the chaper ones were a bit off. The rounded weather stripping is just more forgiving and honestly made it easier to get a clean fit on the truck. Let the flares sit in the heat for a while and life is much easier. I got them mounted on the hardware then had to work them in certain spots a few times to figure out fitment. Again, mine are **** ebay knock offs that were $40. I tried to find it in my build but I guess I didn't document it.

Edit, I bought this from home depot. My particular flares came with nothing. I've seen some come with double sided tape, some have what looks like a plastic tube cut in half that covers the edge like bushwacker, some have nothing. This stuff holds up really well to being exposed to the sun and debris. 2 years and no issues. I did have to silicon "glue" them in place after a year or so, but I also didn't clean them before i added this so the glue likely didn't bond well on the sticky side lol.

Yea the ORP/5th gen eibach will be 1" longer than my Bilstein coils. Effectively the same as what I have now with the spacer. I'm waiting to hear back from Nick and see what ends up happening, I'll for sure keep everything updated.

I keep forgetting that icon used those shorter coils, you can find specs for their chit anywhere. I need to look and see if there's anything in the warranty about coil swapping. I'm happy with everything about them, except the fact that I essentially have no adjustability to them. Looking at my numbers I think you're correct with them being 1/8th" per turn. Was just hoping for a bit more room in them than what I have per the instructions, there's a mile of threads left, but I guess there must be a coil bind issue or something.

Got the flares installed. Didn't put chit in the back of them. I didn't want to make it complicated if i had to remove them. I think i like the end result. I'll need to do something about the headlight corners where i see a little portion of the bumper. I'll see if i can seal that off with plastic or something.

Out of curiosity, can you take a quick measurement and see how much discrepancy there is with the flares vs your origional heights. I know mine seem to sit a good bit lower than the origional fender lip. I wanna say it was almost a 1/4 different but I might be wrong.

The front seems about the same, if anything 1/8" lower just because that seems to be the plastic thickness.
39 1/2 front driver, 39 3/4 front passenger,
in the rear i have like 1/2" difference lower, 41" rear on both sides.

Made a couple of plugs for the flares in the front out of the same material i have in my mud flaps. Bolted them in by the edges with double side tape.

cool, thanks! Yea mine sit a little bit different than yours around the lip. Doesn't make any difference except for keeping track of measurements.
