Hey everyone! Long time since i last posted here.

I know there was a thread a while back on this - but, times change, and i feel as though this would be fun.

So, what names does everyone give their trucks? My trucks name is Olympic. Not in regard of the Olympics, but the “Old Reliable” ocean liner that was a sister to the Titanic.

Good morning, midday, or night, wherever or whenever you’re reading this!

I’ve tried a couple names, but they really haven’t stuck. What I’ve called it the most is POS.

It's a tradition from (probably) the first time someone put an engine in something and made it move. Anything with an engine gets a name. My mower is Fred, my DR Power leaf vacuum is Helga (big, grouchy, and burly like a german woman), my old beater truck is Cecilia (you're breakin' my heart!), etc.

It gives you something to call them with kids around that won't get you in the dog house.

Edit: Sorry, I read this as "Why does everyone name their trucks?" and not "What does everyone name their trucks?"

I called my current truck (2019 Classic night edition) the ‘Ghost’ or ‘GhostRam1500Classic’ on IG, being the bright white colour. Ghost (the band) inspired that name, since I really am not a fan of the colour white on any vehicle, so I had to find SOMETHING cool about it to lessen the disappointment of having to get a white truck, and partly why I’ll be trading it in soon, IF the new one ever freaking arrives at the dealership (currently in transit, urghgh!!!)

Other names I considered, the ‘great white hype/hope’ or the ‘Panda express’ or the ‘polar bear’ or the ‘white Buffalo’ (as seen in hot tub time machine lol).

my new 2021 Classic truck will be granite crystal metallic, so I’ve chosen it’s name to be ‘El Lobo Gris’ (inspired by its plant of manufacture and country of origin, Mexico) which means ‘the grey/gray wolf.
