FYI I listed a rear park assist setup in the for sale section .This is the last one I will be making until next winter etc .
I will still continue to help others with questions answers etc .
Just won’t be making anymore wiring harnesses for a Couple months etc .
Cheers

You guys have really done a deep dive on this. Hopefully this is a quick question. I have a 2017 with factory rear parksense, trying to add the front. I put on a full bumper with sensors, and my truck had the wiring in place to plug in the front sensor harness. Under the dash I’ve swapped my rear only module for the fr/rr module, but dont seem to have the 3rd plug for the front sensors. Is it hidden somewhere, or do I need to add it in? How would I go about adding it in?

Follow that front sensor harness back as far as you can. You might not have a plug at the end of the wire harness.

Weird how you already had the harness. My truck did not have the front harness but had the rear plug at the bumper and I found the harness ended in the drivers wheel well in a bug connector I220.

I would look at the front harness you say you have and follow it. Hopefully it goes through the firewall, but if it does you my not have the connector on it that goes into the module.

I also bought my module with the 3 connectors and a few inches of wires still attached to them.

So I hooked up the module and ran the wires to the rear sensors. Connected the sensors and the module (can and power). Programmed it with AlfaOBD. Now when I start the truck it gives me the park assist sensor service warning. Before I go and start stripping wires to check the voltage is there something I'm missing?

I have the module for front and rear park assist. I enabled only rear in AlfaODB since I haven't wired the front yet. There are only two plugs going to the module. The one running to the rear sensors and the one with power and canbus. I'm pretty sure the power and canbus are wired correctly because if I disconnect the canbus the warning goes away. Is is possible I reversed the canbus wires though?

Thanks for all the help!

Does the rear park assist work?

You are getting the warning because you don’t have the front hooked up. This happened to me, but my rear sensors worked.

You are getting the warning because you don’t have the front hooked up. This happened to me, but my rear sensors worked.

So I added the aux switch panel which has the front and rear park on/off buttons. Both front and rear park assist lights in the buttons are on. When I press the rear park assist button the warning flashes in the cluster, but the button light never changes just stays solid on. When I press the front park assist button I also get a warning, but the light in the button flashes.

I will try backing up to see if the rear sensor are picking anything up though.

The lights on the switches come on when the sensors are off.

I ran my truck with just the rear installed and it worked fine while I was putting together the parts for the front sensors.

I would suggest that you look at all your wires on the rear plug and the module and double check they are correct.

Also what settings did you set in alfaobd? Send me that list and I will check what my list is. You might need to set another setting in alfaobd.

Here are a couple pictures of your plugs and also what settings to set.

Right, so my switches always have the lights on. The front will blink when I click it, but the rear one is solid on all the time (even when clicked).

This is what I see when I click the front assist aux button

I'm pretty sure that my c1 connections are correct...otherwise I wouldn't see the sensor warnings in dash, no (how would I know if I reversed the canbus wires?)? I'm wondering if I wired the rear sensor harness power/ground though. I'll need to check that.
Can you connect to the park assist module with alpha .
Clear the faults and then read the faults and let’s see what faults are there

Do you mean to the "Body Computer"? That's the category I used to program the various park assist settings. If that's it then I've already tried that and I get 0 faults.

Or is there another category I should be reading them from in AlfaOBD?

Nope you need to connect to parking module with alpha
Instead of selecting body computer select parking module

I have the listing for "Parking" in Alfa, but there is no compatible module that matches my vehicle model year. It has listings for Parktronics Module MY2013, MY2013-17, MY2014-17 and MY2010-2012 I tried connecting to the two closest (the MY2017 ones), but it will not connect to either.

This is with the Android version of Alfa.
