Just Installed a UAQ into my 2016 Laramie with heated/cooled seats from factory. My truck came with the RA4 radio factory. I used the 2017 Chrysler 200 media hub, which required a small amount of trimming in my console insert to fit. I used the UAQ media harness from MPGrimm2 and install went flawlessly.

After three cycles of the key, all of my options showed up like heated seat/cooled seats, heated steering wheel, etc. I called and had my SXM transferred to the new radio and it was seamless.

Apple CarPlay is amazing. Not to mention how much more responsive these units are with touchscreen, etc. not to mention how fast it boots.

Thanks for everyone who posted here with trials, etc and issue resolution, etc. I love this upgrade.

Do you happen to have the part # for the media hub you used and do you think the original hub will fit back in covering up any trimming that was done?

Yes. It was very minimal trimming on the actual hole itself. The stock hub still fits, as I tried it before installing the updated 200 hub.

The part number for the media hub is 68283703AA

I ordered it from Benny at AllMoparParts. Hit him up and he can help you save a few $$

I took my RA4 back out of my '16 G56 & put my UAQ back in WITHOUT any Customtronix harnesses or anything aftermarket. Unfortunately for whatever reason both my backup & cargo camera still have flickering horizontal lines running across the screen[emoji848][emoji35] I have no idea why it would act like there is still interference?! I know no one will probably be able to see it in the photo because it's hard to pick up on camera but I'm out of ideas..25765258a687145dab9c587c09b7d9bc.jpg

are either of them added on or came stock? i would think you have a bad ground within series or a broken power wire somewhere along the line that is causing the interference.

I will check for any wiring issues tonight behind the radio for anything obvious. The backup camera and cargo camera were stock and installed from the factory. It's been so long since I've had the RA3 in place that came from the factory but I know I never had the lines with the factory RA3. Only noticed them when I had either of the Customtronix harnesses and front camera installed and RCA splitter plugged into cargo cam rca input in order to be able to switch between my cargo camera and front camera. Since then any and all Customtronix or aftermarket harnesses have been removed and I still have the lines on both backup and cargo camera screens.

After numerous attempts to correct the issue with my heated seat controls being greyed out, I am at an end. I could not fix it and have run out of options that I can see. I have tried all the configuration changes and options in AlphaOBD, received a new UAQ head unit, and even went as far as purchasing the module from infotainment.com for the MY 2014 trucks. Nothing has worked. My last thought would be maybe a software bug with the head unit but I doubt I would be able to correct that anyway as I don't have the VIN for the truck it cam from. Anyone else got any suggestions?
in you head unit go to app in the setting you can try and activate the wireless hotspot in the process att will display the original donor vin number just need to be quick enough to screen shot the vin, that how i got mine

I got around to making the radio much cooler by applying a simple fix. I installed new thermal pads inside the unit by just cutting to the same size as the factory pads.

Factory pads...

I have no means of accurately measuring the temperature but the radio is quite noticeably cooler after applying new thermal material to transfer heat from the chips to the case. The radio has gone from hot/almost too hot to touch to cool/ambient temperature after normal prolonged operation.

I'll be inspecting the new thermal material the next time I open it up to ensure it is making good contact. It appears to be the same thickness as the factory thermal material though...

Pink = Factory
Blue = Arctic thermal pad.

I probably only used 1/3 of the thermal material I purchased.

From Car-Part.com

Came out of a wrecked 2018 2500. Paid $700 for it.

I will have to check it out. Both of the units I have gotten from infotainment have failed to control the heated seats in my truck. Working on fixes but nothing yet.

Anyone in Virginia have one they would be willing to try my radio in just to help isolate if it is the radio or maybe my BCM. Log from the BCM doesn't show anything weird or out of place but running low on options at this point.

Fwiw if the soft buttons come up on screen but are grayed out, I don't think the radio itself is the issue. It "sees" that option is activated but it's just not allowing them to be used.

Knowing what was needed to be done in the past to make it work, I'm pretty confident the infotainment module isn't doing it's job. Not sure if maybe they changed the code or have bad chips or what.

If I'm not mistaken you have the upfitter switches, are the settings for those on the radio? I wonder if this might be a contributing factor to the heated seat control issue.
Not sure it would be a radio problem, more along the lines of a module or setting.

There is no setting screen for the upfitter switches on the radio screen, just in the dash.

I have a feeling you are correct but I figure if there is someone fairly local I could swap with for a minute just to see how it acts, that would help eliminate the radio being this issue all together. When I still had my old factory radio and plugged it in even after it had been in another truck there was no issue.

There have been some missing code/settings in the past with the OBDgenies (BuCam and Heated seats) that have been verified missing using AlfaOBD awhile back. Some of that may have carried over into the 4c Seat Interface module.

There's been little feedback on anyone using the @customtronix Enzo Interface module but it's user manual does show dip switch options to work with the panasonic radio upgrade, to get the cluster messages corrected and finally for the heated seats.

Not sure it's something you want to try to fix your on screen seat menu options but it's the only other off the shelf product (& adds extra video inputs). CustomTronix (Magnus) used to offer fully jailbroke sw updates for the radios so I suspect he knows how to code the Enzo to do what he says it can do.

CustomTronix Enzo.

Enzo Manual.

I owe @chrisbh17 and @Roman217 a HUGE thanks. As well as everyone else that offered up some advice on this. Chris and Roman worked up a module for me and send it out about a week ago. After some minor trouble shooting everything is good. It all works just as it should.
Another win for the Infotainment Customer service department...

You should return your radio and buy elsewhere (and don't forget to leave a horrible review).

I agree, their customer service is absulute garbage. At this point I am just happy to have everything working and am just going to leave well enough alone... and a bad review.
