I am thinking of getting factory projectors for my 2016 Ram 1500 Lonestar with the Bluestreak Pearlcoat color. I'm looking for opinions whether a set of black or chrome projector headlights would look best on a truck that is generally chrome styled. So far, I haven't had luck find pictures online that would give me an idea to work with.

Well if your truck has all of that chrome and you plan on keeping it, and not color matching the bumpers and grille, etc, then i would say go for the chrome housing headlights. The black will look totally out of place. But if your overall long term goal is to black out the chrome or paint it to match your truck, then the black would look great with that.

Chrome if you wanna have the look of a retired war vet heading to Home Depot to pick up some new curtain rods just to get out of the house and socialize w the floor staff for 6hrs about how much you love projector headlights as opposed to the regulars...

I don't want to be a "regular" so it's chrome for me.

You could always go with both chrome and black: https://alpharexusa.com/product/09-18-ram-truck-luxx-series-led-projector-headlights-black/
These are the Luxx series which have built in LEDs, the also offer the same combination with the option of halogen bulbs so you can use your own lighting set up whether it be LED, halogen or HID.

Absolutely. I plan to keep it the way it is without changing too much. Finding a nice set of chrome projector headlights at an affordable price will be a challenge since I believe the chrome projectors are no longer made.

Funny enough, I work at a Home Depot.

I was keen on those, but I'm not a fan of the start up animation nor the sequential turns signals. And so far, there doesn't seem to be an option to disable them.

You might be able to find a V1 version set by Modifystreet but those would only be halogen type. The V1 does not have the sequential turns or start up animation.

Definitely stay chrome if the front is staying chrome. If you got a set of milled black wheels, color matched or black front and smoked tails it would prolly work but bumpers would most likely need color match or black also.

Im working my way there on my 16 Laramie lol

Definitely chrome. Black wheels and/or headlights would look weird with that color truck, even with color matched bumpers.

somebody suggested black inserts with the chrome trim? That actually looks pretty good and leaves you open down the road.
Don't know if the Alpharex has that option, but they're pretty pricy and not something you wanna change just for color. I'd have probably gone with them had they made them for my year truck when I recently updated mine.
Personally, I like the black inserts, but then I don't have any chrome on my truck either. The headlights you see in my signature are long gone now and are now black.

So, I made a mock-up on how the black projectors would look like with the truck from an angle.
I forgot to mention that I had factory chrome projectors in the past, but rid of them after not liking them initially.

As mentioned earlier it depends on what you plan to go with in terms of "looks" . Mine is white and I went with black oem quad beam headlamps . Mind you I also swapped out chrome rims to black rims and upgraded tires . I also have dark tinted taillights and windows . For me its about balance . Do to much and it looks overdone , do to little and it looks out of place .
