You and him obviously didn't understand the purpose of my post .... I am sick and tired of so called professionals ripping people off who either don't really know what is going on or have no time to do things themselves ....

Again there is no way any ceramic coating can give our vehicles a 10h hardness especially with a graphene coating ....

And to tell someone that they will get a 3+ year protection is even more BS ....

Graphene has not been out long enough to guarantee the longevity of it's protection on the surface of vehicles and that is a fact ....

If the OP would of taken the time and researched graphene coatings he would of probably realized that what they sold him is all BS ....

On top of that I never once bashed his truck or the way it looks ...

I posted a while back about graphene coating on these forums but after doing some research and talking to detailers and ceramic coating shops they explained to me what I just posted about it here ....

I do detailing and paint corrections as well as ceramic coatings ... and I would never BS anyone into paying for something that I know is not going to work,is needed or if I know there is a proven alternative ....

So all of you who think I was bashing the OP learn to read and comprehend .... it's funny to see people wanting to argue just because they don't agree with you or because they think or believe something is not possible ....

Don't overpay or let people tell you or talk you into doing something that is not needed or in this case proven

What did I pay?

I do get what you are saying but it did come off pretty harsh the way it was worded.

Also the detailer didn't talk me into anything. He told me the products he used and I chose based on what I liked. He never once promised anything really lol.

I'm super happy with the results and look forward to my first wash this coming weekend.

I actually just bought a pressure washer and an upgrade kit for hose gun and cannon. Should be a blast...

Well the new hotness on youtube is the active ve51 and ve52. Active makes that unit for CAT And Simoniz as well. So being in Canada I bought the simoniz 1650 which is 1650 psi with 1.8gpm However the real stats are around 900psi and 1.5gpm As for the upgrade I went with mtm pf22.2 cannon mtm sg28 gun and 50' kobrajet hose.

Being electric with lower flow I will be using the 1.1orifice for the pf22.2 cannon to get the most foam as possible and 3.0 orifice nozzles for best psi.

That is a nice set up! You will enjoy it. I love using my foam cannon. Its so easy and it really evenly coats the paint making washing so much easier.

Before this setup I was using garden hose with adams foaming gun which did the job I guess lol.

The new setup will be so much nicer and I am thinking about wall mounting it to look professional hahaha...

I started with just a foam cannon Chemical guys cannon and a garden hose. I got an electric pressure washer from harbor freight on sale for like 30 bucks. That is my current set up. I was looking at upgrading to a gas one yesterday.

From my understanding 900-1100psi and 1.5-2.0gpm is what's wanted for detailing your car. With that in mind I went with electric cause it's cheaper easier and fits those parameters. I don't used a pressure washer for anything else really and will only use it like once a week at best. Guys who do it professionally probably want a kranzle or guys who wash the driveway/deck/patio or 2 storey house probably want the gas with high psi. Also I hate having to worry about winterizing stuff. I'm super lazy lol

Wow - I bet you're fun at parties. First of all - by looking at the pictures he had the company do a paint correction done before the ceramic coating was applied. Second of all - if he chooses to spend HIS money on ceramic coating then that's his choice. I personally think that spending the money is worth it just for the piece of mind and I love the way the truck looks after the paint correction has been done. Yes, he could've done the work himself and saved the money but maybe he doesn't want to or know how to do paint correction the right way, maybe he doesn't have a garage or a place to do the work, maybe he doesn't have the time or patience to do it or maybe he just won $200 million on the lottery and doesn't care about the $1000 he spent. All I am saying is that there is a lot of reasons why he paid the company to do the work and why he thinks that ceramic coatings are worth the money. Let him spend his money the way he wants to.
It’s kind of like when someone buys a car you wouldn’t. You don’t say, “ Oh I would have got …” the polite thing to say is, “ Wow, right on, you got a new car!” Unfortunately many folks either don’t care or have any good in them now days. Maybe he’ll learn.
To preferd, I think it looks stellar! Everything about it does but what makes me the happiest about your ride is that you seem thrilled and happy. Right on, man!

Look man first of all I am going to say that I wasn't bashing the results on your truck ....however I will not apologize for anything .... we are grown man and should be able to determine what is being said to us and the best way to do so is sit back and think about what we are going to reply with ....

Having a website and forums myself I dealt with this all the time from forums members .... do we seriously have to be careful about everyone's feelings every time we are going to comment on something?

It's perfectly fine to disagree with something or someone and even to critique depending on our own opinions ... but to simply get defensive or go on the offensive because we don't like what someone said to us is pretty damn petty .....

Your truck looks B@D@$$ man but graphene coatings are not proven to this point and they are a trend right now .... in another year or two we might actually get proven results of how it holds up on our vehicles ... that is all my comment was meant to convey

Right now a ceramic coating is proven and less expensive and anyone can apply it .... the paint correction needed for it is something anyone can also do but a lot of us are too intimidated by thought of doing so

As someone who does detailing I won't compromise my integrity and reputation as one just for a few extra hundred dollars or thousands ... on older vehicles it is not worth cutting into the clear coat just to paint correct or ceramic coat ... but on newer vehicles like yours it is worth it but you have to use something that is proven .... once that coating has degraded they will have to do another paint correction to remove the remaining coating and you can only do it with a more aggressive cut to the clear coat

My wife's lexus was coated when she first got it ... it's a 2016 and it still protects her paint .... that's 5 years worth and it's proven results ....

Just a bit of advice for your truck since it is now coated .... wash it yourself even if you have to do it 2 times a week .... I wash her car and my truck 2 sometimes 3 times a week but most of the times I only have to spray it with the foam cannon and allow it to break down the dirt itself and just rinse it and i either blow dry it or use a microfiber towel but with almost no pressure at all ....

Hope you see things a bit differently now but if you don't that is fine too ....

First off... save your money.... their warrantees are are not even worth the paper they are printed on. You can’t even use them for toilet paper which makes them less than useless. Not at all trying to offend but you would have been better off buying the turtle wax ceramic hybrid. It lasts longer and looks better than even the most expensive ceramics. There simply is no product that will bond to your paint (clear coat) and protect it like an invisible shield... the hardness they quoted is total BS. Sorry you got took but hey we all learn over time. It looks good now but in a year, u need too reapply for it to look great again. Trust me.... and they will not do it under any “warranty” coverage.

Another negative un wanted un warranted opinion! I’m sorry Perferd that we all have to deal with guys like this guy and Cheechdog or whatever.
He guys, if your mom didn’t teach you **** let me make up for it. If you don’t have something nice to say don’t say it. The world we live in the fight we all fight is hard enough! I’m sorry you unhappy folks who don’t care at all about others can’t see happiness.
BTW. Preferd is from Canada. Probably the friendliest people in the world. So just shut the !#@! Up!

No dude, I’m just reading and thinking it’s all in the delivery.
You were a ****. Yes maybe you’re not always a **** but you were then.
There are other ways to show you know your stuff and not come off like a ****.
To me I’m sad for folks like you who don’t realize how you come across. Like someone else said, “You must be fun at parties.”
I was actually not going to reply at all but in retrospect I am getting tired of my unrealistic expectations of the human race. You and Js4024 need to try just either saying nothing or be nice. Life is tough for almost all of us and we really need more happy and nice than negative people like you guys.
Maybe you could have said, “ Your truck looks bad ass” “ I do this stuff for a living and it’s hard but with the right stuff and right advice I’ve seen people do a great job themselves.”
No more with my trying to get your defensive self to see what I’m trying to convey. But since you’re soooo smart you put your Instagram handle on your negative posts. So someone that lives in your area who sees what a great all knowing smart guy you are could find your business name and make sure they spend their hard earned money somewhere else.
Also, smart guy, without people that don’t want to do it themselves you wouldn’t be working!

I use a 2300 psi gas washer .... it actually depends on the tip you are using .... I use the white tip which is globally the delicate purpose tip on any pressure washer ...

You have black low pressure almost like a nozzle on a garden hose ... white which is what we should use , yellow the general purpose and red the heavy duty

With the white tip you can safely remove almost every bit of dirt and grime as long as you are about 2 feet away from the surface ... I get brave and get even closer sometimes as close as 6-8 inches away ...

With the one you have there is almost zero risk of damage to your paint regardless of how close you get so it's a safe option .... just be careful and don't spray areas that have rock chips .... no matter the pressure you will have to get a new paint job if you do ...

You’re right. I wouldn’t bother, your not worth it. You’re already so tough that you’ll make a threat to someone you don’t know. I actually truly feel bad for you and worse for those around you.
I already think I was being a bit overboard. Not my job to try to make others see themselves but I’m just so tired of not nice or just too dumb to know, people.

Use a sponge? Are you kidding me?

Sponges are abrasive, never use a sponge on your vehicles paint, especially after a ceramic coat ....

But I guess me doing detail work and paint corrections means nothing lol .... amazing the things people recommend lol ...
Did I say anything about you doing ANYTHING? Nope. I am talking to the people that make the product and the installer I have. It isn't a normal sponge. It isn't like I scrub with it. I just skim the top. If I don't use that what should I use? Thanks for the kind words though
