Just bought a 2016 ram rebel and didnt notice this splattered mess on the driverside. Definitely looks like its splattered onto the truck from the tire but it really looks like somethings under the paint. Please advise20210609_190621.jpg 20210609_190555.jpg

My advice, Stoner bug and tar remover. If you know Autogeek or Autopia. Each site has quality bug and tar removers. Detailed Image is another detailing site. A degreaser might soften the tar. From the second photo, the tar appears on top to me. Please update as you progress.

The angle of the photo to me shows the tar as being above the clearcoat. As you gain experience from detailing, you will develop Detailer Eye.

Yeah that looks like tar, you see it on your flares as well. Should come off easy with what the guys recommended.

I may be getting some mud guards but still debating. I see mine has some as well and only had the truck for 2 weeks today.

I still need to fully detail my way. ;)
