This is the version I'm running now... radio reboots often. More so after using car play. I'm looking for a solution!
If you're already on 30.24 I would try 34.2. The sound quality of music on 34.2 is great compared to all other firmwares IMO.

As far as reboots go, I believe there is a wire shorting in the center jumpseat that causes this behavior. It was happening to me too until I de-pinned the AUX wires at the back of the radio.

No - I'm at 22.06 - how does one obtain a copy of wither 30.24 or 34.2?

I don't recommend it in your case. I would first check for a wire short. Do you have a center jump seat?
Ok - ready the thread @Mpgrimm2 referenced - beyond my risk tolerance.

I would like to clarify - that its not so much a reboot - but while driving (like yesterday) The radio will stop responding to input. Volume commands, power button etc... but the SXM is still producing audio. After about 1 minute it will reboot, and be fine.

Some times it does this 3x in a row, and it'll be ok. I can't figure out what triggers it - CARPLAY was connected last night.

I do have the center jumpseat, yes. I did have to change the USB Media Hub when I did the upgrade.

Possibly overheating causing it to become unresponsive.

2014 RA3/VP3-NA (PN: 68224531Ax)
- v17.43.01 Fw Link (removes Dual Cam Support) and Update Directions Link
List of changes: TSB 08-068-18 My13_My14 17.43.01.pdf
MD5: C34A8C97BBF018ACA08E2D5DEAD9CABA

NOTE: The only files that should be on your Fat32 8gb+ Thumbdrive when ready will be "swdl.iso" and "swdl.upd"

I'm on v16.13.13 and I'm trying to eventually upgrade to v18.x, but I've been told by someone that I have to go from v16.x to v17.x and THEN to v18.x. Uconnect was no help at all - they don't offer previous firmware versions, and the lady told me that for having v16x I'd have to go through my dealer to update. The deal wants $190 and that's a no go for me.

That said, this firmware download doesn't work for me. I have a 2014 RAM 1500 BIGHORN and I am 68224531AE. (I physically looked on the back of the unit.) I've tried several different flash drives, formatted to FAT32 and above 8Gb. I extract the files and make sure they are the only two files on the USB. I put the USB stick in while in park and it does not prompt to update. It does detect the USB because it tells me there is no playable media on it.

I'm wondering if anyone else has been in this situation?

All I can say is that's the file I used on my parents 14ram1500 with RA3 VP3-NA with the same PN radio and it worked.

When you say "above 8GB", how big is it?

I've tried several different brand of USB, 16Gb and formatted to FAT32. When I plug in to the USB in my center console it just tells me there is no playable media on the device.

EDIT: Does anyone have RA3/VP3-NA v17.11 instead of v17.43? Maybe that would be worth a try.

I have an RA3 file that v14.25.5. Try a smaller flash drive if you have one (like 8GB).

I posted over in the other thread about it as well, but this is a much larger thread. There's a new update out there for 39.5 - has anyone tried it? Wondering if it resolves some issues I've been having with "device not connected" and missing heated wheel icons.

I have also replaced my head unit with a brand new from Ram UAQ, and it shipped to me with 34.2, so not sure if we want to update the main page or not considering that appears to be the latest "official" version since it's shipping on new hardware.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Unless the update will fix a specific issue you are having, I would leave well enough alone. I haven't really seen them add any significant new features.

That's what I'm curious about - I'm having issues with the heated wheel icon not working (when you push the software button it turns on and gets warm but there's no indication on the screen if it's on or off) and the "device not supported" message pops up every time I start the truck which is annoying.

I would check the release notes carefully to see if this issue is actually addressed by any of the updates you intend to install.

Where did you see that its available. I got a 2018 UAQ for dirt cheap so part of my pay forward is testing things with it. If its a valid firmware for it, I'll give it a push. I have the "device not supported" error too.

https://www.ramforum.com/threads/additional-uaq-uas-update-files-28-3-30-24-34-2.164549/ - there's a link in the first post with a bunch of firmware files. it's in there, new as of last month it looks like. I flashed it, but I still get the device not supported error and no icon for heated wheel being on. Otherwise, seems fine, basically the same as 34.2

Hey All -

Been searching these threads for a while...looking to upgrade my 8.4 ra3 radio in a Canadian 1500 Sport. It has 16.51.19 right now...can I flash an NA firmware and be ok?

68270664AE is the model info.

No you can't. Must be Canadian version.

Unfortunately if someone doesn't reply back that they have 2017 RA3 VP3-CA v17.x.x to share/upload, you will need to go to a dealer to get it updated.

Looking for some help on a 14.

My current software is 13.38.52 and I've downloaded the newest 18.45.01 update but of course it doesn't work. In the instructions it mentions that if you currently have anything older than 16.16.13 to "proceed to your local dealer."

Can I go through and update each update to get me to the current one? I saved all the files off the main page for the 14's: 14.25.5, 15.26.1, 16.13.13, 17.11.07, 17.43.01. And eventually be able to update to the latest 18.45.01? Do I need to do all? What would you all recommend? Reason I'm updating, other than to update is that I bought new maps.
