Anybody experience significant rake with Superlift?

The shop had to add rear spacers to elminiate the rake when the Superlift 6” was put on. Has anybody else run in to this problem? Other than that Im very happy with how it turned out and it drives great

Just be happy you had a shop that recognized the need for additional work to complete a proper installation. So many of these "lift kits" are developed by goobers, for goobers, and are installed by goobers...With none of them having an ounce of engineering experience. Big difference between an engineer and a fabricator...Sometimes, one lacks what the other brings to the table and the project desperately needs.

Did you get the kit with the Bilstein struts in front? If so did they max them out?

Post a picture of your front struts. Including the lower spring seats.

B4 the spacers was the rake in the front or rear. I'm a little confused as to why they had to add spacers

That's why we're trying to get pictures of the front struts. Chances are really good if it's Bilsteins they either installed the lower spring seat upside down, installed it on the wrong notch (stacking lift height on a lift not designed to be stacked) or a magical combination of those two things.

I assume you got the lift with the bilstein shocks and they maxed them out in the front. As mentioned post some pics and let us know what shocks you have. that would help us help you.

If they’re set to zero then something is definitely wrong with the setup.

We don’t do super lift often but I believe I remember reading the installation instructions superlift wanted the Bilsteins to be set to 2.8 to achieve their geometry specs. I’ll go back and look if you provide pictures of everything that looks newly installed

Yes Superlift wants them set to 2.8 (highest ring) so your shop didn’t read the instructions if they set it to 0.
That being said you’re nose high so did they leave something out in the rear ?

Never heard of anyone setting them at 2.8 not even from the company themselves when I talked to one of the Superlift guys about the problem. Nothing was left out of the rear. The shop felt that that the rear coil springs may have been for a different lift but I found out that Superlift uses the same size springs for both 4” and their 6” inch lifts

They did the install correctly following the oem guidelines. I shared the instructions above for Bilstein option with super lift so it’s not hear say or made up. It’s clearly stated in their instructions that your shop failed to read that’s my point. All 6” lifts share the same options as their 4” counterparts the only difference is the front spacer and preload spacer options. These trucks react weird and are very sensitive to small changes with how springs are clocked etc. I’m not attacking you or the shop we are all human and all make mistakes that are easily overlooked.

That makes sense. The truck has to go in anyway next week for retorque and getting my UCAs installed so Ill let them know. As the long as it wont cause any issues though i might just keep it as is. Thank you for the information

Isn’t the silver thing under the strut spacer a preload spacer? If so that shouldn’t be there with the Bilsteins. They should use the adjustable clip on the Bilsteins to raise height instead of the preload spacer + strut spacer combo.
