Oh damn didn't even see that, thanks! Did you ever find your brackets? I have the ones from the set I got off Amazon. They are the enixwell ones. I got the custom brackets so no use for them, but they aren't both the same, they messed up and sent out mirrored versions. It could still work you would just need to cut the ear off the passenger side one. I could send em to ya if you wanted no charge

Sure I'll take them because I was going to use the brackets from a 3 gen Dakota that would've worked but everywhere I order them I received oh sorry turns out we're out of stock.

So I'll pm you my info.

Got my hooks in! The brackets are awesome and make the hooks sit much better than the stock ones. Also thanks to @JB1 for his trim idea, cleans it up very well

FLYxxBOY, very clean looking install. Did you remove the plastic piece for cutting, or cut it in place ?

Thank ya, took a while but I think it turned out good. So the method I used was to take the plastic piece out, installed the hooks, used some painters tape and taped around the hooks so I knew where to cut, removed the hooks, put the plastic piece back in, then using the tape as my outline used a 1 1/4 hole saw to drill the ends, and a hobby knife to cut between them. Then added the trim stuff to make it look neat and installed the hooks again.

Thanks FLYxxBOY, it did come out very clean, and gives the look of a "factory option". I was looking at removing the plastic piece, but it looks like a PIA to remove, and reinstall. If I want to achieve the good look of yours, I guess I better figure out out to take that piece out.

Thanks again.

Where to get the brackets for a Sport these days ? I've read through hundreds of posts, and saw that @Deepjeep85 was selling them last year, but haven't seen activity from him since or a response to my inquiry. The hooks are easy to find, but need advise on where to get brackets if anyone can help. TIA

Thanks to @Ken226 I was able to grab his pdf files, scale them on the printer, and use them as a template to create my own brackets which worked out perfectly. It took $50 worth of carbide blades and at least 4 hours of my time to work the 3/16" angle iron with saws and a drill press, but in the end turned out exactly as I had hoped. Used OEM hooks from ebay which I sand blasted and repainted. Thanks to everyone on this thread for paving the path !

the brackets allow you to position the hooks wider and aligned with the larger opening in the fascia, as well as face them outwards. You could use the OEM brackets without those two benefits.

Hey I called up my local metal fabricator and he was wanting a '.dxf' file format since that is what his cad software used, does anyone know if there exists a '.dxf' version? Or if anyone is still selling them?

Is there a specific part# or part revision of these tow hooks that have a better/beefier build to them?

As far as I know there are only 2 versions of 4th Gen 1500 tow hooks, the standard ones from 99% of the trucks and the ones from the Rebel, which IIRC, are closed loop rather than hook. The ones from the HD trucks are completely different and don't mount to the 1500.
