I was at my dealer yesterday to order a new Rebel GT also ! Everything was going good until they showed me what they would give me for my 19 Ram Laramie, not even kbb trade in value. We were about 3k apart. Time to find a different dealer !

I sold my 2015 Tacoma 4x4, sport and towing package, with 80,000 miles, earlier this week. Carmax. Was very happy with their payout for it. It was the last year they had traditional transmission (5 spd). All the new ones have a CVT, I think. I have a Sedan to drive in the mean time. and if not for the weather here, the motorcycle.

I'm pretty sure I have watched every available Ram 1500 video on YouTube at this point. There are good and there are bad but overall all YouTubers have positive things to say about Ram trucks. The GT package exhaust sound is sublime!

That's good news... about 6.5 weeks from order to delivery. I ordered a Rebel 12/30. Hoping production is back up to speed now and they're pumpin' these things out quicker. I got an update this morning that they have all my parts and the truck is in sequence for production.

My dealer is doing the spray in bedliner. I have been looking for some decent side steps to put on when it comes .

I’m new here and I’ve been seeing a lot of different answers… I order second week of August a Flame Red/Black Rebel GT with electronic transfer case, 33 gal tank, bed utility group, comfort package, rebel 12, level b, power mirrors, and MF tailgate and was told by the dealer the beginning of Dec that it was still in D status… Any ideas on why???

Congrats, bigramguy and mzs22! My sales guy is super cool and is checking the status pretty regularly. He will let me know when the production status codes change - hopefully will go fast from here forward. Mine was in D status for well over a month, but the holidays were included in that time. I cant explain a long delay on your order, Ohsobad.

My dealer basicaly said he had no idea how long it would take. I thought he said I would be getting an email from Ram but not sure how long that would be.

On Dec 23rd the wife and I went to look at a 2022 Laramie 4x4 G/T at a dealer about 70 miles from our home. It was optioned almost exactly as I would have ordered it. I've got a 2021 1500 4x4 Off-Road that I love but I hate the rotary shifter (the G/T comes with a console shifter). Additionally, we're blown away with how incredible the RAM rides and drives and it's now our "go to" vehicle and the wife wants heated and ventilated seats (and a few more creature comforts). We're expecting the ride to be even better without the H.D. Off-Road suspension and chunky tires.

We were OK with paying MSRP. But when it came to valuing our trade they were $5,000 off based on KBB, NADA, and Edmunds "Trade in" valuations (which I checked in advance: avg. $45K). They printed out a KBB page that showed it worth $40K. I didn't even mind that they didn't want to give me full "trade in" value for it, but the sales manager wouldn't do the valuation in front of us to show that he was putting my truck in as it was optioned. If he would have had some integrity and started from the actual "trade in" value on KBB, I would have listened to his argument for not wanting to pay that much. But to start from $40K and act as if he was "bending over backwards to help me" to come up to $41.5K was a bit insulting. (I should note here that while waiting for the same manager to appraise my 2021 RAM, my wife drove a Jeep Grand Cherokee L and we were ready to buy both the RAM G/T and the Grand Cherokee L that day). I was ready to accept the $41.5K trade-in number but asked the manager to throw in a $250 Mopar Bed Divider accessory (I installed one in my 2021 w/6'4" bed but it wouldn't fit in the G/T's 5'7" bed). The manager refused stating that his major move to $41.5K was his final offer. So, the wife and I left.

I still wanted the G/T. So I got a pre-approval from Chrysler Capital to buy the G/T without my trade-in (I'm sure I could sell it for more than $41.5K!). When I called back after Christmas, the dealer refused to sell me the G/T because they feared that I would give them a bad sales survey. They REFUSED to sell me a truck that they had on the lot because they feared that I would tell the truth about how they handled the sales process on the day before Christmas eve. You can't make this stuff up...

I'm still looking for the properly optioned G/T out there! I'm not sure why dealers don't want to order them with the Bed Utility Group but I haven't found many with it (and the few that do are the wrong color). I could order one but then it's a huge gamble as to whether 0% financing will be offered. I'll keep looking...

There seems to be many disreputable dealers out there. My sales guy was very up front with how long a factory order would take and was also very up front that anything currently on the lot would be subject to a $5,000 markup. My guess, Cornelius967, is they didn't want to turn you off by telling you about the markup, but instead shaved it off of the trade value. either way they were dishonest with you. I would have walked also. BTW, I did not order the bed utility group. I would never use the tie downs and don't need the bed LEDs. I will get the divider separately and will be putting an after market tonneau cover on it too. Everything I've seen and read indicates the factory tonneau interferes with the RamBox opening properly, binding at the top of the rotation. There are better "hard" covers that don't interfere.

On a whim, I tried to pull up the full equipment listing on the FCA Equipment Listing site, and its all there, 11 pages. Don't know yet what build stage that puts it in but its certainly moving along. No window sticker is available yet, so I guess its somewhere between D2 and KZ status.

EDIT: My Sales guy contacted me this morning - the status is at "I" so the truck is built and headed to get the spray in bedliner, side steps, tow hooks, hitch, etc. Won't be long now.

WHUFF, you ordered yours on Dec 4th and yours is already moving through and mine wont move out of D1… My VIN finally showed up on the Ram Tracker but no build list yet… So frustrating!!!
