Do I get the VON from my dealer? They have given me the VIN but not the other thus far.

Yes. It's in the upper right section of your receipt when you ordered. (Vehicle Order Number)

Ordered a 2500 Longhorn the first week in January. Came in two weeks ago. Found one 900 miles away at end of January. Now dealership has one to sell.

They won't have any issues selling it unless you ordered a unicorn.

I ordered a Ford F250 back in November of 2021. Still no information on it. Meanwhile I bought my Ram Limited in March off the lot.

It's sad when you have to buy a vehicle to get you by until your ordered vehicle gets here! It will be nice when this whole supply chain issue gets worked out.

According to this tracker, mine hasn't been built yet. Ordered March 14, Scheduled April 27. I talked to the salesman yesterday and he checked with whatever program he has and he said it is in production right now. I wonder how often they update the info in the tracker???

Same here, I check at least once a day. Still no change. I think the salesman is telling me stories that it is being built now.

Okay so my dealer just told me this morning that my truck is in "trim status" but the tracker still shows no change. Hopefully this means mine is about done & will go into ship status before the day is over. Then I am hearing shipping is easily 4-6 week & some higher depending on where you live.

That's good news. When did you order yours? My salesman still swears mine is in production...it seems like Ram doesn't update the order tracker very often.

You all know more than any salesman in the Showroom Sales Dept.
The Assistant Sales Manager & the Sales Manager could tell you what stage your vehicles is in, if they wanted to take 5 minutes to do it.

I listened to a Sales Manager tell one of his Sales Crew, that he was not going to bother with Tracking every customer's factory ordered vehicle & that the salesman was not being paid to bother the Bosses with that type question.
The Regular Sales Crew does NOT have access to Rams
DealerConnect, only the higher ups do

It was ordered 1/31/22. Yeah it stated "In Production" with a date of Monday but is just now showing on the tracker. Hopefully it will be finished today & make the train ride out of there soon. The tires on my 2500 are close to bald but I do not want to put a new set of tires on it right before I sell it. I asked the dealer if they would give me a little more for it if I put a set of name brand tires on it & they said no. Dumb if you ask me. They would get more for it on their lot or at auction if it had a set of brand new tires. It would cost around 900 for the tires all I am asking for is an extra $500. Oh well, if it takes a long time in shipping it might be showing the belts when I hand over the keys!

Damn, I guess that means I'm 4-6 weeks behind your truck in production, maybe I'll see it by the end of August. I need it by the end of September...I'm retiring and we are bugging out to AZ with the 5th wheel for the winter.

I have a set of Custom wheels on mine. I'm sure they won't give me anything extra...I think I'll just throw the stock wheels with worn out tire when I trade mine in. The salesman mentioned they would put new tires on it anyway.

I hope this tracker is BS. I ordered my 3500 Jan 20th and it says its scheduled for production. However dealer says its in D1 status with a ship date of June 24th. What do I believe?? This is getting ridiculous!!!!!!

D1 = Scheduled , also called Gateway
It means that a Day & Time is set for the frame to be laid on the conveyor belt
It takes about 16 hours to build each Ram

Then usually most Rams go to the Body Vendor, to get the Add On parts

I tried that order tracker on a 2500 a dealer is trying to sell me. they have an order number and a vin. didnt work. the dealer had emailed me the tracker link because he asked if I would put down a deposit for the truck and I said I would like to see the window sticker to see what is on it and have an eta for it's delivery because I check 2500's for sale in my area every day and the same ones are always "in transit" .
