Ya that would be of interest to me as well.Anybody have actual CFM numbers on both the stock clutch fan and the V6 Efan conversion? Just wondering, looks super simple.
Found these on Amazon, I used one to cover up the water pump threads.
Tried to submit the link but...

Awesome! The threads on mine are starting to rust I'll definitely take a look at that...
Oh damn I have a bunch of those kicking around thanks!similiar
Check through your old spray bombs, you might find a cap that fits .I use a similar cap off an old WD-40 can I had laying around,a touch of black Krylon plastic paint, and it screwed right onto the threads.Been on the truck for 4 years now,and still looks good. I shift my truck at 6600 rpm,and the cap has never moved.
No = TYCthanks for the fantastic write up...so...TYC fan or OEM v6 pentastar fan? which is the higher quality? figured now that this thread has had more than a couple of years of "proof in the pudding" testing id ask the question ? im in the middle of my Cam most everything top end swap lol and maybe more (depending how bad the old cam is) so time to replace stuff is now lol
ok thanks for clarifying! is there a specific year 4.7l v6 Efan im looking for or are they all pretty universal? not sure i saw a part number for the OEM listed in the thread but after 20 pages i may have missed itNo = TYC
OEM Penstar will not work due to code (forget name).
It's the 4.7l v6 e-fan you use. The OEM has more CFM.
I live where it gets 126* and I use the OEM since it has more cfm. I have keep good notes. Where the OEM really shines is above 105* temps.

They're discontinuing it? Well that sucks, the Mopar one is way better than the Dorman/TYC ones...You're welcome!
It looks like their discontinuing it. I'd get it before their gone and only aftermarket is available.
Looks that way and I agree 100%. I went to three mopar sites all say discontinued. They're discontinuing it? Well that sucks, the Mopar one is way better than the Dorman/TYC ones...
yea i was just looking at the dorman because it can get it on thurs or fri where the mopar oem doesnt ship till like july 27th but that gap in price is scary lol somewhere quality was sacraficed. im going to call up the local dealership in the morning and see if they got one laying around near by or a better ship date.Looks that way and I agree 100%. If this one ever failed, I'd return to stock setup and I keep my old stuff with 38k miles on it before i'd put dorman/TYC on.
I know of someone who used the doorman and the nut came off. Had to fix in a parking lot.yea i was just looking at the dorman because it can get it on thurs or fri where the mopar oem doesnt ship till like july 27th but that gap in price is scary lol somewhere quality was sacraficed. im going to call up the local dealership in the morning and see if they got one laying around near by or a better ship date.
