Yes, they do think that....In fact, they know that. Referencing the price gouging in the gun industry during shortages and seeing how many people still line up to do business with the gougers when things calm down, I can say that the dealers don't really care and consumers aren't ready to really "punish" anyone with their wallets. Funny, but during SuperBowl week, scalpers are celebrated and not burned at the stake. I wonder why that is?Do Ram dealers (or auto dealers in general) really think we will all forget which of them gouged on price during this time? .....Do these guys really think that we will forget that they behaved this way once things return to “normal”?
not everybody has short memories.i don't buy anything from Smittybilt, several chain stores and will never give Maple Ridge Chrysler another cent of my hard earned money.i speak loudly with my wallet.i bought another new boat last sept. and got the royal run around from Atlantis Marine, but they had the only boat in Canada that i was looking for so i had no choice but to deal with them, but i didn't even buy a piece of dock line from them after the initial boat purchase, and i'm still waiting for my kicker motor to show up.it still leaves a bad taste thinking about that expierience.my local chandler got all my biz for a super mabel, tow ropes, wakeboard, fenders, lines, new pfd's etc.Yes, they do think that....In fact, they know that. And they knew that. Nothing personal, but you also had the choice of looking for another type of boat and spending your money with someone who would have treated you better. I'll copy my original post witht is quote: "I can say that the dealers don't really care and consumers aren't ready to really "punish" anyone with their wallets." no,they had the only boat i was intertested in and they didn't know it.if they did i would't have been in a position to negotiate a favourable deal, which i actually did.i'm not stupid enough to show my hand and look desperate.they're now dragging their feet living up to the agreement. there's no excuse for shoddy customer service, period. And they knew that. The truck I have now as well as the Ram before this were both purchased from Kernersville Dodge in NC. I live in Florida, 680 miles away. I'd drive back there for more reasons than the money. Transparency, selection, ease of transaction. Ram dealers in the local Tampa Bay area can lick my b a l l s a c k ...Their service blows, their selection blows, their pricing blows....They blow. Every...F%^&$...one of them. However will that be the case when the difference is only a few hundred or maybe a grand?
Fair enough. there are definitely just overall bad dealers. The truck I have now as well as the Ram before this were both purchased from Kernersville Dodge in NC. I live in Florida, 680 miles away.
