So ive been through the ringer with this truck but its a beast with 616000 on it and ive put 72000 on it. Replaced the head (my doing), replaced the turbo (was going out) but anyway the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor made the engine light come on. I keep my little bluetooth OBD2 reader RepairSOL2 in the truck and thats the code it gave U110E. Went to Oriellys and got a new one, replaced it and tried to clear the code and it wouldnt. Went to oriellys and they used their hand held one and it said it was a permanent code but it still cleared it. Day two, code pops back on! how do i get rid of the Code or am i going to have a permanent engine light or is there something else causing it to stay on because the other codes that pop up are the license plate lamp and the mirror approach light control which Ive never seen work on it. is there a fuse i need to look at or what?

Thanks in advance!!

Could be an issue with the driver door module, which handles the air temp sensor circuit. AlfaOBD can read faults in the door modules. You’ll probably want to get AlfaOBD anyway, because in about 5,000 miles, your odometer is going to stop recording mileage. You can use AlfaOBD to reset the odometer so you can continue to keep track of mileage.

Why will the odometer stop recording mileage in 5,000 miles?

Is it possible that the Main Computer has not yet accepted that there is a replaced Ambient Air Temperature Sensor .
Then a few more Ignition Cycles might shut the code off ?

So it looks like in order for me to see the driver door module, i need the Adapter for the Network b with the MS Can. Is that the adapter thing for the 2018+ models. The Double bypass? It cleared the code but im patiently waiting for it to pop back on like it did when the Oriellys guy cleared it with their machine. It said it was permanent on his and looks like it says the same thing on this one. Any suggestions?

Because these clusters can only record mileage up to 621,369 miles (1 million km).
And I'll be damed if it just hit that today and I have to go back and track from when I did my pretrip and use my mileage tracker to catch where it stopped cuz when I got home to jot it down, thats what it was at. How do I use the Alpha OBD2 thing to reset it because everythings jacked up, the trip meters dont work, the fuel economy thing dont work. I tried to go thru all the things on the obd2 screens but didnt see where it resets the odometer.

By "resetting the cluster" you would change the mileage back to zero, there isn't a "reset" option.
There are several threads on correcting the mileage on a EVIC, here's one of them:

I see that you picked out my reply to another person, How do I get a hold of some of these people to see what exactly I need to get because some of these replies were back in 2019. Im doing research and looking up some of these adapters but the main one the forscan tool seems like its for fords. Thats the question I want to ask them before I buy it. I found it but would like to see if I can get more clarification. the threads dont seem to mention it being for fords.

You need to use AlfaOBD. It’s an app in the google play store or software download for windows. You also need a security gateway bypass. All the info on AlfaOBD is in multiple threads that can be found on this forum.

Roger that, so this app will work with the OBD Link MX+ blue tooth one?

roger that, looking up the gateway bypass right now!!! preciate it!!
Forget the bypass. I forgot you have a 2015, you don’t need one. You’re good to go with the MX+ and AlfaOBD

Oh snap, so I can correct, reset, or change the mileage with just the MX+ and the AlfaOBD App?

While I got your ear, whats up with this permanent Ambient Air temp sensor? Im getting all kinds of lost connection and circuit short to battery or open codes to passenger and driver door modules? it says this Ambient Air temp sensor code is permanent. Ive cleared it several times and it still pops back on.
