Here is a used oil analysis on my 2011 ram 1500 5.7 hemi.
110k thousand at the start of the sample, 115k thousand when oil was changed.
Really impressed with the wear and the amount of moly left in the sample.
Tbn is a little low for only 5k miles on the oci, but this truck sees a lot of short distance starting and stopping.
Chose 0w-20 because I live in Montana where winters routinely get well below zero for weeks at a time.

Yup, that does look good. With that low a TBN I wouldn't go any longer than a 5k mile OCI, though.

Looks great, post that in blackstone thread. As great as it looks, with those miles I might move to 0w30 same brand. It looks near perfect, but I'd be happy if a little more film lowered iron a bit.

Should the new Valvoline EP be considered a top 5 hemi oil with all that moly? In a healthy non ticking hemi a top choice? Looks pretty good to my eyes. Would lubegard make it better? Dunno about that one, it might but then again it might not.

Valvoline doesn’t make a 0w-30 in the extended protection.
I have considered trying amsoil signature series 0w-30.
But I used the valvoline extended protection 0w-20 again this last oil change.
I’m going to run this oil to 6k and send another sample, see how it does.
I do think this is a great oil for the hemi, mine is really smooth and quiet with it.
