That regular cab was very awesome looking. Not that your new one isn't easy on the eyes.
There's something about a RCLB that's "just right." Wife wanted a back seat in the new one, thus the QC.

That is the perfect way to put it, something just right. I guess also placating the wife could also be a good statement. You know, happy wife...

The lineup is complete!

Finally got around to repainting my RAM 4th-gen toy truck to match my full scale one. Couldn't find a 4th-gen Quad Cab diecast or scale toy anywhere, so had to make do with a Crew Cab Shortbed.

Still have my 1950 8N. The AC 190 (gas) died at our former farm, and was replaced with a 2010 New Holland Boomer 8N, which I sold last year after I was done using it to landscape around the shop I built at our retirement home.

It also has the RAMBox upgrade, as well.

One Year Report

Today marks my first full year with the Classic. I've covered around 15,500 miles in that time (in seven States), and am averaging about 19 MPG (on oversize tires). I've had zero issues with the truck (no recalls, either).

I still find myself occasionally reaching for the column shift my previous 2500 had, and also still think a regular cab longbed is the better looking configuration. Not to mention that I do miss having an 8' bed when hauling materials. But when we road trip, the Quad Cab sure is nice for keeping all our stuff secure and accessible.

I still have some mods to complete on the truck, but those will wait until I finish my shop (mudding and taping the ceiling as I write this).

All-in-all, I'm quite happy with the truck and look forward to see where it takes us in the coming year.

Did another mod today - "leather" seat covers. My wife gets shocked getting out of the truck, so these are more for her than me. "Happy wife, happy life!" ;)

I ended up taking the cover back off the center console - looked too fussy for my tastes, and the lid already had "leather" anyway.

Great work! Looks awesome!
Where did you source the jump seat for the swap? And the floor console?
Thank you! The jump seat came from eBay (used). IIRC I ordered the console from one of the Mopar parts sites. I think I noted earlier in this thread that it doesn’t meet up exactly with the lower dash, but you can’t see that unless you get your head in the footwell. Love having the extra cupholders!

Here's a link to the floor console: poke here

Note that this console is normally used for diesel trucks with the manual transmission.

Yep, still one of my favorite build threads. Understated, fully functional and built up to your exact specs. Can't ask for much more than that, well done.

My Geolandar X-AT tires have been wearing unevenly and have gotten noisy, so I decided to rotate fronts-to-rears and while I was at it, install the TTC-1211 XHD Rear Coil Kit I had purchased a while back. While I had the wheels down, I checked torque on my spacers, and all was good there.

The springs went in easy, and don't appear to have changed ride height any (I did not take measurements, but now wish I had). We'll see how they do the next time I haul a load.

An alignment will be scheduled shortly, too!
