Hey Everyone,

I am new to this form, and I couldn't find this topic, but if it is already out there, please comment with a link.

Anyways, I ordered a 2023 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel Laramie 4x4 Crew Cab Short Bed and looking to do some upgrades when the truck arrives. One of the upgrades I am looking at is lifting/leveling the truck. Through my research, I have would four lift kits that I am interested in; however, I am open to other suggestions, so if you have any, please comment below.

The four lift kits currently on my list are:
- Rough Country 3.50-Inch Bolt-On Suspension Lift Kit with Lifted N3 Struts and Premium N3 Shocks
- Rough Country 3.50-Inch Bolt-On Suspension Lift Kit with V2 Monotube Shocks
- Rough Country 3-Inch Bolt-On Suspension Lift Kit with Premium N3 Shocks
- ReadyLIFT 3.50-Inch SST Suspension Lift Kit

I believe I am correct in my research, but correct me if I am wrong, but I believe these four lift kits will meet my short criteria:
- Does not require any modification (Bolt-On and go)
- Will fit with 35's on 22's without any rubbing
- Good on-the-road lift kits

Any advice or input on these lift kits would be greatly appreciated, along with any other recommendations.

I heard that 35's will clear with ReadyLIFT. Also, on their website, it mentions that it will clear with 35's. Stock are 33's
35s will work with almost any strut lift, as long as you have the wheel offset right. Just steer clear of the strut spacers and you'll be okay.

The ReadyLIFT SST 3.5" uses strut spacers.

One of these will be everything you need except for the UCAs to get your alignment back to stock.
I ran this and zone UCAs with my 315s for a few thousand miles on my 4th gen with no issues. Added a zone 1.5" body lift because I wanted more height for aesthetic purposes only. Got a net of 4.5" lift with only bolt on parts like you desire (no cutting on the cross member)

What lift kit do you recommend?
I've heard good things about the SST kit, and lift kit recommendation depends on budget first and use case second. Anything from that SST up to full custom tuned Kings/Fox.

Anything above 2.5ish should use corrected upper control arms which I think the SST kit comes with. It looks like a good kit for the price.

Rough country is a marketing company never to be considered. Readylift gets a bad wrap from not being installed correctly. If installed properly readylift is perfectly fine as long as your truck doesn’t do any off-roading. Take rough Country off your list

Im installing the Zone 1.5” tomorrow/Saturday. My 5100’s are set at 2.1, as much as I cringe to do it, I may pull them off and reset them to 2.8.
OP, as others have stated, cross RC lifts off your list.

I put 5100's on the highest setting with Zone UCA's on the front, Icon 1.5" springs and Fox 2.0 shocks on the rear with stock 20" rims and 35.x11.5 ridge grapplers. Looks great and rides great. All bolt on and can be taken back to stock.

There are many testimonials to be found on how much better the ride quality is on the RC loaded struts vs. The RL SST (double spacer) kit. The RC spacer kit yeah maybe but the loaded struts seem to be getting lots of praise over on 5thgen.

90% of shops don’t understand how to install readylift and shouldn’t be touching suspension in general. I talk to people across the country daily. I have them send me pictures and it’s wrong. Unfortunately.
I own the only Ram suspension shop on the east coast so I’m pretty sure I’m qualified to say rough country is garbage. If you can find another shop that specializes in our trucks anywhere I would like to feed them work because not everyone is in a position to ship their trucks to Pennsylvania

Yeah I have no doubt you're qualified. I'm mainly just talking about the RC lifted struts vs the Readylift SST. I'm sure most of Rough Country may be garbage but there is no way I can be convinced running a top hat AND a preload spacer (even if installed perfectly) is riding better than a strut with adequate length shocks and springs, this is evident by the many reviews online. How long will they last? Who knows, but 350 bucks ain't that bad of a hit if you had to replace a few years down the road. I'd like to know if you have any experience with the RC lifted struts, and a more nuanced opinion maybe.
