Just got my Katzkins dropped of by UPS. Went Mahogany with black outlaw tooled wings and ivory stitching. Will be a big change color wise but I've been liking how a lot of new vehicles have gone to more pop colors like browns seats on black interior.

Those look really nice. Everything I've heard and read about Katzkin (this and other vehicle forums), is their product is top-notch. How does the leather feel to you?

I wish they made a nice cloth upholstery. I'd like to find a set of compfy cloth seats that were a good fit, custom made to FIT ....like the Katzkins. Anybody know of a company that makes good cloth upholstery? (not slip-overs). I'm not a fan of the Ram factory cloth.

Are you going to install these, or take them to an upholstery guy? I've installed some covers (not Ram) but the videos it looks pretty easy to do (just take yer time).

Quality feels excellent. I'm planning on doing myself unless I can't stand how our work is looking. My dad used to do upholstery so he is going to help. Issue is he is getting older so his hands can't push and pull like they used to. Hoping for a heatwave so I can do it outside and get them nice and warm for a good stretch.

I quoted a local place to order and install and they wanted like 2400 range which I thought was high so I was like guess I'll do it myself.

I really like the color choice as well.
Thanks! I was originally going to go mostly black as the primary with mahogany outlaw wings. But Katzkin doesn't offer the Outlaw tooled leather in Mahogany. Closest they have is cognac which can be a bit orange in certain lights, or the really dark brown which I like the pop of a brighter brown. So decided to swap it and go primary mahogany with black wings. My truck interior is the mostly black with some grey so I wasn't sure how it would look but did a ton of searching and found a lot of primary black interiors with brown seats and loved the look so went with it.

I had Katzkins in my 2000 Pontiac GP GTX back in the day. The materials were top notch and the stitching and everything was second to none. I've considered getting them for my Ram as well.

I had Katskins in both my Chargers (2012 and 2018)...best deal around. Couldn't get all I wanted on either car with the leather interiors so I wentwith the best options that had the cloth seats and immediately had them change to Katskins at the dealer!! No Regrets!

Any updated photos with these installed? I'm interested in a similar color scheme.

I didn't know the outlaw came in 2 tone. Might have to get a set in gray with blue wings.

The install wasn't simple, but the ram seats are a lot easier to work with than the GP was. I would watch a few videos before tackling it, but I think it's totally doable.

So, the big question is, how much do you save by installing it yourself?

When I bought my truck, the dealership had a Classic in the showroom outfitted with Katzkins leather seats. The finish looked awesome and as good or better than my '07 Tundra Limited from Japan.

If only that truck had my preferred options, buying it would have been a no-brainer.
I hope to save up the cash to get my Ram outfitted with Katzkins.

Yeah I went through Leather Seat Pros. They were pretty good to work with (mainly through email), they sent me the entire product catalog so I could see all color options in Outlaw etc and then just quoted me what I built. Did a few tweaks here and there and then ordered them. The Outlaw colors only have a few options for the tooled leather colors, but you can get any other color as a 2nd. Originally I wanted black main with Mahogany wings but they didn't do Mahogany wings. The outlaw wings can be done in Cognac but it was too orange for me. So I flipped it and used Mahogany as my primary color and black for the outlaw. Which I'm glad I did it looks great in person, better than pics.

I paid around $1,000 for mine, which included a few upgrades like the Ram logo and Ram Stitch along with the Outlaw leather, and seat heaters. I had checked with a few local shops and they were telling me around $2,400. So about 1400 on install

Install is super easy on the rear seat prob didn't take much more than an hour. Headrests are a pain because they are so tight (almost feel like you will break stitching pulling), but with 2 people its easy. Have one person use their fingers to help it slide over while the other pulls. We put one on backwards twice I think so make sure its correct so you don't have to redo it. Front seats are a pain due to removal of a lot of parts, air bags, etc.. so they took a while. Luckily my retired dad did about half of it while I worked from home and would go help when he needed help pulling.
