Hey All,

I just recently purchased a zone 4" lift with level tail end and fox shocks.. I took it to my local garage to be installed and they called me and asked if I was purposely going for the "carolina squat"... I drove up there and it definitely isnt any where close to being level in the tailend. I assumed that it would settle and my mechanic said the front would not but the back will because its just bushings so it will just squat even worse with time? I assumed with Zone being owned by BDS, I wouldnt run in to a issue like this.. any recommendations or ideas?
Thank you for your time!17ram.jpg

That front looks like more than 4"? Did your mechanic measure the front to make sure it isn't the front that's wrong?

Well for starters Zone does not offer a tail high option with any of their 4" lifts that is only 6"
With it being that far off there is a larger issue. What is the part # of the rear box kit zone sent you?

Do you have leveling struts up front? If so they need to be set down to 0 lift. Your last post on march 2020 states you have bilstein 5100 installed.

The zone kit does not replace the front struts. Only the rear shocks. Do me a favor and go take a look at them or have the shop send you a picture of the front struts.

What height are your front bilstein 5100 set at? 2.1? Or 2.8?

You must have your front struts set for leveling previous to the lift. I am willing to bet this is not a Zone issue and its an installer issue. What front struts do you have right now? I see you mention fox shocks but if that is the ones that come with the Zone lift they are only for the rear. They dont offer zone/fox struts.

They did a copy and paste on the description. There are 2 height options for the 6” lift that’s where the description came from.

He ordered the 4” kit. Not the 6”. I’m still pretty sure he’s running the bilstein 5100 up front anyways which explains the height difference.

Obviously LOL. It all starts when you buy a kit from a wheel place to start the confusion then you bring it to a place that has zero clue. The only logical explanation is that he brought his truck in with a leveling kit and the installer couldn’t take 5 minutes to ask google or call zone. In the instructions it only shows examples of the oem struts so that is the first red flag.

Sorry I Have been doing a lot of traveling for work. But just wanted to provide a update. It was the adjustable Bilstiens on the front were rusted and locked at the maxed out position. ( two years on the truck and 30k miles on them.). Anyways after putting new front shocks on it it sets level and I’m very happy with it.
