I have the Pro G2, 2500 style lights with top/bottom DRL. I worked on installing them tonight but I’m having a couple of issues.

1 - i cannot for the life of me get the two connectors on the backside of the headlight to line up and connect properly. The white tab and the bolt head on the back.

2 - the drl is supposed to be white and mine are turning amber. I do not have the gray wires in the back of headlight connected so they should be white. However…I do have drl activated in AlfaOBD. I haven’t checked my settings, but maybe it’s set to amber??

Terrible photo, but the drl are white in park…amber in gear.

What headlights did your truck come from the factory with? Quads or Projectors?
Only the trucks with factory projectors have the Dedicated DRL wire at the headlight plug, the trucks that came with Quads ithe Dedicated DRL wiring can be added.
There is no color selection for the DRLs with AlfaOBD, just the location. You would need to have the Dedicated DRLs selected and you may need to adjust the voltage output. Remember that factory DRLs only activate when the truck is in gear and the parking brake is not set.

Mine originally had quads, but I had an aftermarket set of lights in them already. I just remembered that I had the drl activated in Alfa and it was set to turn signals…that may be why these are amber at the moment.

I never did a dedicated drl wire with the previous setup, just Alfa, and the drl worked fine.

I also had to go into Alfa to change my dedicated DRLs to make them stay white while driving. I can't remember if there were a few others. Let me know what you fix is when "parking light out" comes on. I have resistors on them still happens its an issue with these lights.

My previous set did that too..but only when I had the fog lights on. It was weird.

Looks like you answered your own question, the top and bottom lights are staying amber most likely because the headlights see voltage coming in from the turn signals(DRL set to turn signals). The headlights have no way to know when you want the white DRLs with the turn signals set. Try moving the location to you low beams or fog lights and see what happens.

My hid kit looks ridiculous in these so far. I’ve also got cheap LEDs on order for the high beams…I don’t run them much though.

The only mod I did so far was a 1” hole in the back of the cover on the low beam.

And it looks like I ordered the same h7 led as you. Plan for that to go in the high beam.

Why did you have to do the 1” hole mod ?

to allow the wires for the HID to come through. There’s a rubber grommet that pops into the hole.

Here’s a shot of the low beam, 55w/5000k HID 25’ from a wall. I’m pretty happy so far.

I’m not running any resistors and I’m not getting any bulb out messages at the moment. I had previously changed everything to hid/led in alfa.

Looks good. I'll check my Alfa settings again but I'm sure I've changed most if not all but you never know.
