Yeah that's a normal vehicle progression right? Long story short. I am recently divorced and have to buy myself a present :D, I hate how slow the ED is, I don't really want to deal with the headache of all of the diesel emissions and maintenance outside of warranty periods without at least enjoying the vehicle.

I put down my deposit yesterday afternoon on a 23 model. The lady at the dealer said it already had a VIN this morning which I thought was cool. She said 4/5 months is what I should expect. I was thinking 5/6 so we are pretty close. In either case it should be a really fun summer!

I went from an ED to a Hemi a few years ago for similar reasons. It's probably a good thing that they weren't making the TRX at the time or I would have bought one then. I've since come to my senses and am very happy with the Hemi. Keeping that Hellcat engine fed earlier this year would have put me in the poor house.

Enjoy your new truck when you get it. It's gonna be a long 4-6 months.

Same thang BOIRD did in Aug 2018.I went from ED to a Hemi. But I just bought off the Lot. What made me decide, friggin ED tried to get me "killed" pulling out of all places a Funeral Home, where it just sagged, stayed there and did not move,. Bye Bye ED, hello Hemi.

Sounds like a scream! But feeding that SC V8 premium gas at maybe 10mpg would be a tough one, unless it isnt your DD.

Going from 26-28 on the highway to 6-8 lol nice upgrade though for sure!
Great Upgrade as far as a get and go, but that Gas Pump gonna be painful. You may want to put a "V A L I U M" dispenser in the truck: :33::angels25::Big Laugh::joke:

Happy for you Bud & enjoy your new present (get a kill switch and perhaps a GPS tacker in that beast... the crooks tend to like those monsters)...

My divorce paperwork is being finalized in the courts as I speak.
I can't believe how much real money I have, to myself now...lol
I pay a hefty bi-weekly child support, but don't pay spousal support, or have to worry about my investments or pension, and I have 50/50 custody and access... so big win for me!

Yeah. I am thinking of going the Igla route. Everything else just seems so primitive in comparison.

Thinking about how terrible the gas mileage will be in the TRX I thought ahead and picked up a 2019 VW Tiguan last week. It gets 30 mpg all day long and will be a great daily to have with the TRX in the toy slot.

Haha great choice, I have a '13 Beetle along with my Ram. Gotta warn you tho VWs are a pain to work on typical German overengineering, but on the other hand they are reliable. I also had an 06 Jetta that was a great little car.

Brother a faraday box is useless, they are breaking in and copying a key right through the obd port.

The IGLA Anti-Theft is that best system out there.

it blocks the obd port and doesnt allow you to start the car unless you punch is a pin code by using the factory buttons on your steering wheel and the factory buttons on your dash.

once you do that the car will start.

heres two videos, 1st video shows you how it works and second will show you why phone notifications, Faraday boxes and GPS tracking are flawed.

I order a TRX on November 16, 2022. I was assigned a VIN right away, but I still don't have a date when they will start building it. Has anyone else ordered a TRX around the same timeframe who has received a build date? Just checking to see if other people are having any luck....thanks.

We're seeing most of our November and December orders in D1, I'd say you're bound to come up soon!

What does the status D1 indicate? The dealer I went through to order my TRX says the status is in the "D" stage and has an estimated ship date of 5/17/23. When I put my VON # in the tracker at https://www.ramtrucks.com/trackyourorder.html , it just says the order has been processed with no build date set yet. Either the tracking site is lagging or the dealer's estimated ship date is just a wild guess.
