Nope I don't. I like things simple, less to go wrong hopefully. My car doesn't have it either. That's just a base model pontiac with a 5 speed. I'm sure the auto climate would be nice but it's not a big deal. It only takes a second to adjust the dials and I'm comfortable.
So then why say you’d prefer you had that feature if you say later you like things simple and that you could essentially do without the comforts of auto climate control?….lol.

I have it because it came with it, bought off the lot. I can do with/or without. But it is nice to have. Since I got one the the first builds of the New DT truck (built in Apr 2018 bought Aug 2018), some things on this Bighorn no longer come on the Bighorns/Lonestars, like LED lighting, LOL. (I will neva own another vehicle w/o LED lighting)
I have it, along with many other things because I love all that creature-comfort stuff. Guess that’s why I bought a Limited….

My pontiac doesn't have auto climate. It's a different hvac system that still let's air movement through the heater core and through the vents without the blower motor being on. At 70 in my car I have a good bit of heat coming out of the selected vent with blower motor dial set to off. If I did 70 in my truck and shut the blower motor off the truck gets cold inside within a minute this time of year. I take it when blower motor gets turned off a blend door shuts so no air goes through. You just get whatever air is coming in from outside. I'm not good at explaining things lol but I like the simpler hvac system like what's in my car.

I guess I like the fact that I can still use and get heat out of the system in my car without having the blower motor which in the ram is a completely different system and you can't get any heat out of it with the blower motor set to off.

Hmm… I’ve never owned anything Pontiac and I’ve yet to own or drive anything that blew heat or cool air unless the blower fan was actually on unless the windows were open or of course if it was the older Chevy pickups that had the little vent down by the kick-panels that you could open up.

I rode with a guy a few times for work he had a late 2000s jeep compass that his was the same way. Obviously the car is a lot smaller inside but it's kinda nice. Once the engine is warmed up you can basically shut the blower motor off and just set the heat dial to your preference and you're good to go. It's mainly my cheap ass thinking it saves money on replacing blower motors lol. They don't go out often but when they do it's either 10 below or 95 and muggy out.

My newly acquired Tacoma is like that and I don't like it. If I turn something off, I want it off.

My Tahoe is like that, so was my 4 runner. Think it’s to let fresh air in still, unless you have manifold leaks then it sucks lol

Overall I love our 4G Ram 1500 CCSB EcoDiesel but a few months back I listed a few of my Ram dislikes on here and, like many other members, was promptly chastised by someone for ever buying a vehicle that wasn't exactly how I wanted it in the first place. That member loves to troll and doesn't seem to understand the difference between a dislike that can be either lived with or fixed and something that's a dealbreaker. Anyway, I've been slowly working through my dislike list, adding the missing factory subwoofer, changing out the quad reflector headlights to OEM style projectors with white LED DRLs and sequential turn signals(no Durango envy necessary), purchased the AMP corner bed step(will install in the spring) and just today added a cd player that works through the factory head unit via the USB data port. #WINNING

It’s nothing personal so there’s no need nor reason to apologize for the supposed “chastising” or “trolling”. I just don’t understand why somebody would essentially complain about something they intend to eventually change, fix or modify, that’s all. No harm no foul. I’ve even helped some of those with some of the things they don’t like about their Ram.

Oh and there never was any “Durango headlight” envy, I was just simply curious.

The ONLY thing I do not like about my "New to me Used" Ram. Is that it is not my 02 Dakota. If I did not use that Dakota here in UPSTATE NY in the winter ( my Victory Motorcycle doen't like snow) it would not have goten so rusty after 22 years of use. It would now be a 02 Dakota with a 5.7 generation 111, and a Lenco 5 or 6 speed manual behind it. It was a GREAT "TRUCK" had crank windows and "stuff".

I drive a company car Mon - Friday. I dislike not getting a gas card and being able to drive my truck everyday. Other than that the only thing I don't like about my truck is the stupid shifter knob.
Ram its very lame to twist a dumb button period end of story.

1. Answering the question posted in the title of the thread is not necessarily complaining.
2. You (or anybody, for that matter) understanding the "why" is not required.
3. Didn't request an apology.

I keep trying to tell myself that but there’s been a few replies that actually look to me like they are indeed complaining.

Oh, I know….it’s not and, I really didn’t need to be told that but being that there was no rule book that came with this thread, it’s all up for grabs.

Just because somebody posted a discussion for it, don’t expect your comment to deserve to go untouched by only by folks you approve of because this is an online forum the last time I checked.

I know you didn’t but being that you whined about what I do, I felt it necessary to say what I did. Not only that, your Durango headlight envy assumption was quite comical when that’s not what I was saying at all. I was just simply pointing out why didn’t they make the ram premium projector headlights the same way they made those…..

Anywhoo…

Drivers side carpet seems like it was installed a little loose by the feet and not long enough to go under the trim, and a damn rotational weird vibration that comes and goes between 45-55 mph, not drastic by any means but it’s there and worse when cold outside it seems like.

Might want to go to a reputable tire shop that actually does road-force balancing and get your tires re-balanced.
