It may be a concept vehicle and will get a lot of changes before a production version is released.
All that I saw was a parking lot queen with a bunch of gimmicky garbage shoved into it.

Oh, and it will follow you around. I don't mind my dog following me out in the back, even when she tackles me. Not so sure about having to worry if my 6k pound truck has autonomously decided to play hide and seek.

My '87 Dodge Ram would follow me around. Sure, you had to reach through the window and adjust the wheel every now and then, but I could take down a fence with it idling along behind me. 4lo and granny gear (4 speed manual) and it idled well below a walking pace. Work a fence post free, let the truck catch up, drop it in the bed, walk to the next post, repeat.

No outdoor projector though, so, you know, totally useless as a truck. :D

Those were the days, when you knew the gearing was controlled by you and some glitchy software wasn't able to put it in Killdozer mode.

Maybe duct tape a flashlight to the bed and make shadow animals. I have one of those lights I spin and the LEDs say my name. Maybe I need to spend $100 grand to never watch a movie from the back because the mosquitoes eat us alive.

I'll buy an electric truck ONLY when there is one that I CAN AFFORD that can tow my 6,000 lb travel trailer for half a day over 350+ miles (on a single charge) and can be recharged in less than 10 minutes for another 350+ miles for the rest of the day. In other words it's got to have the same range and refill capacity as my 2021 EcoDiesel with its 33 gallon tank has.
Bingo, that is what it is all about but none of the manufacturers are making the EV pickup goals about affordability or useability. Seems it is about mall cruising or look at me, I can hit 60 MPH in 2 point whatever seconds in my pick-up.

So what, tell me if your EV truck offering can drag my 18-foot fishing boat 100 or so miles for a day of fishing and get home without having to locate a charging station. That is what I want to hear about.

I fret that even though it is a concept, they took a lot of current truck user input but still missed major points we gave them.

That tells me they're trying to target new non-truck owners. Which also means they're gonna flop.

TFL did a video comparing the Ford EV-150 with extended battery pack and a GMC Denali towing 6,000 lbs. Ford had 320 mile range pack. It made it to 87 miles before pulling off highway had just enuf power to make it to a charging station. Usability, all BS. And, btw, what are they doing strip-mining and whateva to get these battery packs made, and wat do U do with em when they go bad? ARGH...

Thought we were supposed to leave things better for our kids and grandy kids. Guess I know nothing, just a BOIRD.

All above IMHO (very humble). My Opinion only, worded for public consumption hee hee.

Have you seen articles about the big new lithium mine fight in Nevada? Materials costs for LiIon batteries already skyrocketing.

they tried to cover everything to see what takes hold. I like the tailgate and the extendable bedfloor for hauling longer stuff. I dont like the airliner style floor with track mounted seats. I like carpet on the floor. I too dont like the squashed down all glass roof. I dont understand the cupholders in the front trunk..maybe those are for sitting up there while at a drive-in. as an avalanche owner for 10 years, I like the mid-gate but it needs to be a useful size. I wont have a battery powered truck in my lifetime but I like some of the features. doubt if regular truck folks will be able to afford these. my buddies with brand X trucks gave me crap when I first showed up with my '19 laramie. saying it was too fru-fru. after a few times riding with me they changed their tune but I cant imagine how much grief this battery version would bring me.

I am now reading that Stellantis has confirmed a gas powered range extender, aka gas engine. To me, it says that even with the extra time to design this from the ground up Ram, like others before it, has determined that the technology does not exist to make a truck with the range and capabilities of an ICE vehicle. So, adding this extender and the fuel, plumbing, etc. will reduce payload capacity.

I mean, what's the point?

Will those Rams be considered a conventional hybrid since it uses it's gas engine to charge the battery even though it is still a plug-in, or PVEH?

Payload reduction is not necessarily true, they can beef up the truck to give add more GVWR. GM did that with their latest generation of 2500.

So can I order one with the upgraded gas powered range extender preferably like the 6.4 that's in my current truck? Also can I do the electric battery delete so I can just use the 6.4? You know to keep things simple. I don't need to be wasting electricity and gas.

Nevermind it's still ugly I'll just keep mine.

The problem is that a 2500 is limited to a maximum of 10,000 GVWR, so either regs change or the 2500 goes the way of the Dodo bird and it is only 1500 or 3500 choices in the future. But since the electric Ram is only in 1500 so far, it will be interesting to see all the actual specs.

I like it. Would turn off all those interior lights.
Design is new, and not ugly like Ford/GM/Classic rams.

I wouldn't tow anything with it. Couldn't off-road with it.
Most of the features, they are talking about are already on at least some cars/trucks in use now or coming.
I don't get that movie thing. For people in Cal/FL I guess?

Not really any buttons with my 5Gen now.

I'm going to guess the concept design is based on aerodynamics. which should improve battery life.

The walking outside while moving... Not really new.
Many cars have or going have auto-parking. Telsa's can park without you in them.
Doubt Ram will get that function working as they claimed. Auto Parking ya.

Would be good idea to purchase new 2500/3500 this year or next.(or whatever they plan on stopping them)

I think it's going be at least another 5 years before you get a truck that can actually tow larger RV/boats.

The GMs are rated at 10,650. You can order them derated, but it's the same truck with just a different sticker. Depending on where you live that might mean a non-derated 2500 has to be licensed and registered differently so I get where you're coming from.

The regulation thing is just paper work that can be changed by the government if we ever got to the point where all we had was electric 3/4 and 1 tons.

It's the ugliest concept vehicle I have ever seen and confirmed my belief that all car companies, except Toyota, have lost their minds.

If I for, Some unfortunate reason need a new vehicle, I will be searching for a good used non computer based shell and build what I want.

Man that thing is UGLY and no amount of polish would ever make that pig be a candidate for my driveway.

For a concept, it is great/cool ... as we know, a lot will change between now and production ...
