Has anyone negotiated a cheaper price for their service similar to when you get Sirius XM to drop theirs?

The remote start is something I can and do use. That's the package I'll be getting.

I tried when mine first expired, they would not budge and were not interested in negotiating.
A lot has changed recently they now offer 6 packages the remote start is $129 a year.
If I remember correctly it used to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $250 annually.
I'd be interested in hearing if anyone has had any luck.

I just tried to negotiate a lower price and all I got was a 3 month extension in addition to anything I subscribe to which they told me about in an email last week. Current deal is get 12 months for the price of 11 and the 3 month extension for a total of 15 months. Current price is $14.99/month or $164.89/year. So the short answer is no negotiating. I'm not sure if they'll give me a similar/better/worse deal after the trial expires. This price is just for the Assistance package. Basically remote start/lock/unlock and a few other things I don't use.

For how long does it come with your truck purchase? My Silverado came with 5 years and my new Ram 1500 should be here within the next few weeks and I really like that feature to start my truck from the app. Thanks!

Most services are 90 days but some are a few years. This Assistance package is one of the 90 day ones. The navigation is also expiring but I have Android Auto so I don't need nav.

when did first start that ?

I don't pay for anything, unless i want Sirius XM again.

I have remote start & navigation, i have to pay for Nav Updates about every 3 years, $147 each time, i read that it can be had for less.

The remote start that I'd be paying for is through my phone and watch. The fob remote start is still free. That would be the only thing worth paying for as far as what I want. While I'm at work I'm out of range of my remote start so using my phone is handy. I also work nights and getting into a warm truck in the cold morning is a nice thing.

If I remember correctly my free trial was for a full year. I didn't renew because I never listen to satellite radio and in my opinion the remote start wasn't that great. I would've gladly renewed if the navigation was better but the few times I used that it sent me past my destination. I did like the location service it provided in case the truck got stolen but I wasn't going to spend the money just for that.

Sirius is 6 months now. I think location is included with the remote start. I have to check.

no not worth it to me. but you should sill have remote start. unless that has change for the newer model years. I park mine in my detached garage/shop so I use remote start most of the time.

They're only charging me for remote start through the app.

It started with uConnect 5 in the 2022 trucks.

Instead of Guardian everything is now under Ram Connect except the satellite radio part (still Sirius XM).

Sad part is that my wife got these services (effectively Guardian) for free when she bought her Ford Ranger and they are free (Ford Pass?) for as long as she owns her truck.

My wife's Edge is the same way. That's the one thing that Ram needs to copy from Ford. That's the only thing.

Did you try the "I quit, too expensive" route on them, cell phone carriers usually jump back with a better offer especially if wanting to move to other carrier.
I went through the privacy policies and thinking they're way over the top gathering data, I have my own privacy policy, and thats to stop data collection on me where ever I can, I may disconnect day one of delivery, they can pound the free trial.

I would guess that companies like Crutchfield will do more business, supplying radios that will interchange

I don't own a Smart Phone, so Apple & Android systems are foreign to me.

I have a GPS/Navigation/Dash Cam/Bluetooth device
so guess that i could buy the cheapest Ram radio when i buy a new Ram, then get a Crutchfield replacement radio

They didn't budge. I don't know if they'll give me a better deal or not after the trial is over. I think I might find out. The worst that can happen is I lose the 3 months free. Not that big of a deal.
