2018 CC Bighorn. Shark fin antenna is on the driver side front of cab. Rear sliding window track drains are clear, no leaks from rear cab vents. Third brake light gasket has been replaced. On a daily basis I have condensation on the inside of my windshield. I have no water stains on any portion of the headliner, no wet carpeting, no leaks from any of the common leak points. I was convinced it was the shark fin so this past Saturday I spent a good portion of the afternoon pulling trim to drop the headliner. Removed the shark fin, cleaned the gasket with isopropyl alcohol, cleaned the cab mounting surface, replaced the small interior gasket that surrounds the opening to the roof and applied silicone caulk to the underside of the shark fin exterior gasket. I reassembled everything making sure the plastic spacer between the shark fin and body was placed correctly and the tension spreading spring was properly in place. I then applied a light bead of silicone caulk to the exterior gasket confident I conquered any leak. I did not check the truck yesterday but this morning I was dismayed that the entire front interior windshield was beaded with condensation. So much so that I used a squeegee to get the water off. Any ideas where this originates? Are there any other drains around the windshield frame? I do not have a sunroof and the only interior glass that is wet is the windshield.

I assume you checked the well under the back seats? That was what was full of water when the cab vents leaked on mine.
Yes sir, no water intrusion from any of the typical points. All dry except the windshield.

either the heater core might be weeping or the AC condensate drain is plugged and water is sitting in there.

No wet or damp carpet anywhere that may be holding water?

Did anyone leave a window slightly open during a rain storm which may have caused a damp carpet?

Maybe there's no present leak and it's residual dampness in the cab? Run the A/C to remove the humidity? I think you can run the A/C with the heat on instead of cold. My Silverado has an "auto" setting which detects humidity and cycles the A/C.

I pray the heater core isn’t the culprit! I will check the AC drain tomorrow.

Nope, that’s the strange part, nothing is wet except the interior of the windshield. No wet upholstery, carpet or headliner. It’s a good amount of condensation on the interior windshield too. The truck is parked on an incline with the front of the cab sitting higher than the rest of the vehicle yet the windshield is what is wet and it sits higher than any other point in the vehicle.

Kind of makes sense when it comes to condensation. It rises up. I think!

Can you open all the windows on a nice sunny day? Or like I said, run the A/C to get the moisture out. If you run the A/C it should remove the moisture. If it continues, there must be a current leak somewhere.

I'm assuming it's not the heater core or you would smell antifreeze throughout the cab. It's very noticeable.

Did you check all the weatherstripping around the doors? Maybe a piece got knocked out of its track.

Is there any water in the doors, make sure all the door drains in the bottom of doors are clear, push a plastic zip tie up the drains to clear out, there has to be some water
(Moisture) collecting somewhere, check the roof seams on roof they are the plastic strips that run parallel with the doors maybe one or both can be leaking and you're getting moisture on the windshield, if A/C evaporator drain is clogged you will have water on passenger foot well.

I will definitely check the door drains and AC drain tomorrow. There is no water in the doors but the AC drain has come up with a few posters so it’s a good start. Thank you

It was cool and dry out today so I left the windows open all day, hopefully that’s helped to dry out and residual moisture.

All the weather seals are intact and in good shape around the doors as I just had them off over the weekend while pulling the shark fin antenna to reseal it.

Today I went out to the truck and it was bone dry inside even though it was raining overnight. Maybe it was residual moisture. I still checked the door drains and the AC evap drain. All drains were clear but I decided to disinfect the AC evap pan since I was already under the truck and it was 60 degrees outside. I pulled the interior cabin filter before I sprayed the coil cleaning foam and I noticed this accordion like cover sitting on top of the area where the cabin air filter is at. It was open about half way but moves freely by hand. Does anyone know what it is or what it does?

I'm running into similar problems. I have humidity on inside of windshield. No water on inside that I can find on carpets etc. Yesterday was the first time I saw water leaking out of my A/C drain hose. So I'm wondering if its a heater core, evaporator core. It leaks on passenger side and the small hose about an inch coming from the firewall. 2016 2500 diesel

what did you use to change the third brake light gasket and did you make a "U" which stops any leaking on any point of the you. Like the pic below, the only seams are on the bottom, as the pic is upside down?

Yep exactly like in the pic. My issue turned out to be the rear Exhauster vents. I assumed that since I had the new style vents they wouldn’t leak. I assumed incorrectly lol
Dang things leaked horribly and even after I replaced them they still leaked a small amount. I had to use silicone caulk to completely stop the leaking.

That is were my 2017 Big Horn is getting water. Found the bin full. Now I notice it more often on items I store under the driver's side back seat.
Does anyone have the part number for the vent? If I am going to pull the back seat I want to just change it out.

68323649AB is it. Buy two and replace both of them even if only one is leaking now.
