You got a winch plate yet? I got one over here that's never been used.... I'll swap ya for the oil filter relocation.... :) You'd have to make a retention system for the frame fangs as i don't have the captured nuts. But i figured on using 1/4" plate cut to size then drilled and tapped.

Would mount thusly..

Damn. That one’s nice. Too bad it’ll interfere with my new filter mount. I’m going to build one into the bumper I have now and do a few other modifications to it.

Talk about close on the cv axle to the coilover. Not even enough to squeeze a pinky finger in there. Lol. Back to 3” front lift. 1” rear. Rides so good. Almost has a luxury suv feel to the ride. A little more roll in the turns. I did reinstall my rough country top spacers with these to give me the extra 1/2” lift. Going to start getting metal to at least build my rear bumper. Winch cradle is dependent on if I reuse the front bumper and cut it up or completely build my own bumper. I’m leaning towards the latter honestly. I want tube style ends with a beefy solid middle for the winch. I had plans for a rear bumper around the same concept but unsure how I want to do the license plate lights and trailer plug. May try to keep the stock license plate lights. Do I want to keep the stock tow hooks up front? I was planning on adding clevis mounts so the hooks may just be removed to make the bumper design easier

Surprise surprise. Christmas came early. These things are beastly. For future reference I turned them 1.5 turns to lift the truck higher. It is 7 threads showing above the ring.
Edit: have to take it all back apart. I drove it to settle the suspension and I’m at 39.5” driver and 40” passenger. 41.5” rear. So I need to turn the driver up 5-6 turns and the passenger up 3-4 to bring it around 40.5-41”
Edit2: turned it up 6 on driver and 4 on passenger and new measurements are 40.5” to ground. Was hoping for a bit taller but I may try to find a way to lower the rear a bit since the fox shocks are a pinch short anyways. Anyone know the spring rate and lift height for icons or any other springs? Trying to keep a tad higher load over stock since I do use the truck. @ram1500rsm any ideas? What height are the 5th gen ORP springs? Or I can always cut 1/2 a coil off of these springs.
Edit3: this is bugging me to much so I’ll be adjusting the front Monday. Up 3 turns on both sides.
Wooo woooo, Enjoy the new puppies :)
To answer your question, I asked a few people to experiment with the Clayton springs over the 5th gen forum back in 2020 and i also asked for measurements on the ORP's, Not sure about spring rates but they don't seem to support much weight just like our springs :)
Anyways the ORP rear springs are 20.25" long, and they provide 1" over the non-ORP versions.

In contrast, the Icon 1.5" springs are 19.5" and they provide around 0.25-0.5" more lift compared to the ORP's
in theory around 1.5" int he non-ORP trucks.

Claytons give them 1.5" more than ORP, 2.5" on the non-ORP trucks

Have fun.

Just out of curiosity, how do those fox coilovers ride compared to my icons? Any striking similarities or differences?

These ones are custom tuned so not regular fox. They are definitely a bit softer than the icons for everyday driving but I think that’s partly due to the 550lb springs instead of the icon 600lb springs plus these are valved for daily driving weekend off-roading and not straight off-roading. Otherwise they don’t mind hitting bumps or divots in the road and they corner a lot softer than my bilstein did. I’m a little light compared to what they valved for because I want to add my winch and rear bumper so another 100lbs front and rear should soften the ride up a bit more

Next up on the list. High clearance hitch receiver. This is to get me extra clearance when I build my rear bumper. Will be keeping the dual exhaust for a short period. Until I finalize my decision on exhaust exit. Thought I wanted through bedside but kinda stepping back from that idea. May end up doing behind the tires on both sides just to keep it easy. I don’t trust my welding skills enough to build my receiver into my bumper so next best thing. https://dirtkingfabrication.com/col...plate-bumper-dk-541831?variant=39246837973035

Dang. 2 quarts of trans fluid wasn’t enough. That’s all I had left in my stock. Will have to get more so I can finish.

3 quarts guys. Took 3 quarts… new transmission lines with -8 a male ends and an in line 145° thermostat and I’m all back together. Well just shy of 3 quarts but non the less. Will report back after a couple drives but idling in my driveway it definitely warms up faster. during my fluid check went from 76° to 86° for my check then after checking made it to 92° and sitting am now at 100°. This is all in under 10 minutes. Also $39 a quart from the stealership.

Damn that snorkel looks good.
My wife said it looks like a hand so when we are looking for it in the parking lot it’s easier to find… but so far I’m really happy with it. I am really liking it for all the kicked up dust when off-roading. My airbox is staying cleaner

Truck needs a bath but I finally installed some new power fold mirrors with lights in them. Looks so nice. Really been wanting the lighted mirrors for a while and found a used set shipped for 325$. Also swapped my blind spot mirror over to the new mirror as well.

Took the truck for a good drive on the interstate today. 38 miles each way. Trans got to 163° during warm up and regulated back to 158° on the interstate. Shifts were great. I noticed my eco light was coming on. I haven’t seen that in a long time. Checked the current mpg and it read around 19-21. I’m not used to that. Usually I’m around 16-18 on the interstate. All I’ve changed is the transmission temp is higher now than before. Weather was 84° out. Oil was 194°. Not sure why the higher mpg on the lie o meter but I’m happy. The trans definitely feels happier hotter. That 120° was too low. Wondering if that really made that much of a difference for my mpg. And this suspension is still blowing my mind. Can’t believe how smooth it is for a lifted truck on 35s driving down the interstate here in south Florida.

Got my bed tent in the mail today and did a trial setup in the driveway. I’m happy. I’ll have to travel out of Florida if I want to do any camping currently though. Weather has been in the upper 80s with real feel into the 90s. The rain cover will work great at keeping the heat in on cooler nights. No breeze gets through it.

Looks like a great setup to pick up a dirtbike and do some trail riding and camping! (maybe an excuse to get a dirtbike too)

What is the setup and takedown time like?

Given that I only set it up the once it was about 15 minutes but I was really going over everything during the setup to make sure it was all good. Probably about 5 minutes actually to do setup. Taking it down is super easy. It’s 3 rods to hold the tent up and then 8 straps to the bed sides to hold it in place.

This sucks… I’m feeling so drained from this. Hopefully it works. I need it to work. The wiring is 100% complete and tested the canbus again today. Hopefully have the right info this time or I’m going to lose my mind. Honestly didn’t think doing this would be so stressful. However here is a video after the wiring was completed. Fan is running off the trigger wire I have tied into the factory harness as a failsafe setup. Fan running video

Talk about tiring. I think this should be it. I am not sure if anyone here has an idea of how much crap I have to go through. And the rpm extreme guy as well. It’s hundreds on hundreds of lines of code to sort through and watch with troubleshooting to figure out what each line is. Pretty sure we have engine rpm, ac line pressure, and coolant temp figured out in order to program the module. Was contemplating trying to find trans temp as well but I have the factory fan harness tapped as a fan override trigger anyways as a fail safe so I don’t really see a need.
