Man i wish you coulda made that ammo can filler work..that woulda been total redneck **** right there...hidden in plain site ....agree with everyone here bout the high jack.....can be dangerous and no jack would do every job...friggin build looks awesome man..cant waiht til its finished....amazon along with ebay doesn't seem to be the cheapest places anymore also.

Well time to start the headache rack

Air horn rebuild kit was good except for the gaskets were to big. Nothing Victor Reinz Reinzosil couldnt seal up... lol..

I didn't order enough self tapped galvanized screws . And no one in town had the same ones. Amazon is delivering them Saturday. So I guess my Saturday prediction is still gtg..

Did a 3rd coat just for ***** and giggles. Love how the grain is still visible.

Just so you know
2 Long Blast means Brakes Released, Ahead or Forward

3 short Bursts means baking up

2 longs, one short burst , & one long, in sequence, means clear the crossing/Intesection because I am coming through.

Looking at the last picture, I'd almost be tempted to shorten the back section of the frame and the bed to just behind the axle. Departure angle would get better and the likelihood of smashing down on it after coming off a rock would get smaller

He did shorten it up. By a foot…

Unfortunately my left hand decided to stop working. I have some pretty bad nerve damage that limit my activities.

So taking a break for now to let my hands recover.

I did change a few things.

Instead of the Ammo cans I got on sale 2 of these at Princess Auto . And will be also using Rotopax instead of the jerry cans.

The Ammo cans were cool but there was no way of accessing them without jumping on the deck. and my old ass needs to avoid monkeying around. This will be direct bolt on and are lockable. At 130$ each, it wasnt even worth my time to build them.



Got a Hi-Jack mount for 35$ on Amazon warehouse deals yesterday.



Also ordered spring spacers for the rear. I hated how my truck looked leveled once the flat deck was on. Played around with the height and I think it looks much better with an extra 2" raised. Im not a fan of spacers but Im not even sure if I can find replacement spring that are that long.

What length are your rear springs? Jeep gladiator rear springs fit and can be found in different load ratings heavier than ram springs. Clayton or synergy. If I remember correctly Clayton are a 3 rate spring and synergy were dual rate.
